Wow, I've played two games so far both were great fun. The first was an OT thriller against Florida State who beat me 22-21. The second was a 10-7 win with Clemson over Mizzou with a last second field goal. I'll do my initial positives and negatives as most have done so far.
Whats Been Good
*The intros are awesome. Right from the start when the menu gets fired up all the way to kickoff, there is an edge that hasn't been in the NCAA series in a long time.
*Tackles are beautiful and I can't stress that enough. I was tired of seeing shoe string tackles every other play
*Defending the no huddle is both manageable and good fun.
*Run Blocking was the first thing that really helped with the idea that recruiting will be taken to a whole new level.
*On a near sack of Christian Ponder, he was running outside to the left with little chance of getting back to the line of scrimmage without being swallowed by my D Tackle. He reversed field, but the great thing was, his knee nearly slipped to the ground in his pivot motion but was able to recover back to the right side and slip it to his back.
*Player models look great. The new Camera angle sort of coincides with that, as it really changes the aspect of graphics.
What Could Be Improved
*Kirk and Brad are getting stale. Its really a situation where there needs to be a series that steps up to the plate liked NCAA Basketball 10 did and get multiple crews. I can deal with the momentary silence, but hearing the same phrases over makes you the game on the field feel less realistic.
*The new playbook is nothing to be proud of. Don't hate it, don't love it. Just not a fan.
*I'm not seeing many throws off target. If a ball is incomplete, its due to someone dropping it whether that be the Defense or the Offense.
*Arm motions never got fixed. Not a huge deal, but it adds variation and variation leads to durability in any video game.
