Can I just say that the NCAA series desperately needs new TD celebrations?

They've had the same lame, unemotional celebrations for three years now. They should have brought in Madden's user-controlled celebrations -- at the risk of an unsportsmanlike penalty. Or at least brought back the open-field end zone flips we had in NCAA 09.

Where are your teammates? You score on a 75-yard run and the players stand around like they're waiting in line at the bank. So boring.

Thanks! Good 'ol NCAA developers...at least they keep some things consistently wrong!

What do you folks have auto strafe on or off? Curious.

I always liked NFL 2k5's celebration selection menu where you could select which celebrations to assign to certain buttons.

I have auto strafe on as well as auto sprint. With auto sprint on, my QB doesn't stutter anymore when scrambling. Have not seen it once, unless I hold the trigger to scramble which you don't have to do with auto sprint.

EXACTLY! I suggested a similar system in the NCAA 11 wish list about 10 months ago. Looks like the devs ignored it.

I played 2 games on the demo and doubt I will fire it back up.

                      1. Lighting Sucks.
                      2. Play Screen Sucks. The play screen is so bad it makes me not want to play the game.
                      3. Defense is really bad so they amped up the dropped passes. Guys are wide open and drop easy catches.
                      4. Defensive Line still gets pancaked virtually every pass play. This isn't good as you can't generate a four man rush. CPU has all day to throw.
                      5. Blitzing doesn't even generate much of a pass rush because the DL gets pancaked and the blitzers get picked up.
                      6. Ratings, while changed are mind boggling. FSU recruit Lemarcus Joyner has an 84 speed. We are talking about a 4.3 guy that will easily be one of top 5 fastest players on the team the day he steps foot on campus. Yet he is an 84. If they REALLY changed ratings around to make them mean something then why are all the freshmen speeds still deflated?
                      7. The Camera Angle is again bad.

The run game and playbooks are nice. Locomotion didn't do anything for me.

IMO, this game will be an average football game. It is better than the last three installments which have been epic failures. But if you are looking for a real football experience, this isn't it. I would say to look for 2012 to be a great game. However, 2011 doesn't quite meet the standards yet.

In all, I think I am going to pass on this game based on the demo. This game will be like every NCAA game made for NG. After a month of playing time everyone will find out this game is not good and put it down.

On a side note, the feathers on the shoulder of the Pro Combats make the uniforms look really gay.

Just noticed a potential problem with the AI of the teams that run a no huddle frequently, in the game I just played. Was playing Mizzou as Clemson, was down by 10 with about a minute left in the game and Mizzou had the ball. First play they run it like you think they would, problem is they no huddled to a 4 wr set and threw the ball the next two plays when they should have been running it to use up the clock.

Hopefully in the full game this is fixed, and there are exceptions where a no huddle team will bleed the clock instead of running a no huddle and trying to pass.

The problem is though there are some penalties that you never see called or happen in the game the last couple of years regardless of what you put the individual penalty sliders to. Even if they are put at 100.

Overall, the game feels much more like football than any other version to date. Locomotion is the real deal and the new graphics/animations are smooth and effective.

my first bug encounter: CPU tried for a field goal on 4th and long. Ball hit the upright and fell down into my DB's hands in the endzone. Play suddenly stops. Gameplay resumes with the CPU getting the ball on the 20 1st and 10?

EDIT for One last mention: play of the game choice is consistently bad. I've had games where a dinky 2 yard run is the play of the game, whereas it should have been the last minute field goal that won me the game.
