The presentation of this game is unreal.
    1. espn opening music
    2. team entrances
    3. players warming up and a highlighted player
    4. cut scenes of fans, players on the sidelines celebrating a score. I even saw a player warming up on a excercise bike LOL!
    5. post game celebration w/players exiting through the tunnel slapping high 5's with the fans

Night and day compared to what we've ever had!

I have seen the CPU QB scramble and run about 4 times in my games. Would like to see more, but it still is a bit of an improvement from last year where they didn't scramble at all.

The last game I played against OSU Prior took off twice on scrambles for 15 and 20 yards. Only bad part is he fumbled at the end of both of them, but at least the CPU ripped off a couple of good runs with him. Still haven't seen one designed run from Pryor in three games, which is concerning.

Also keep in mind with the regards to the CPU QB not running/scrambling that much, that most of the QB's in the demo are not really known for their running ability besides Pryor.
Yeah, that's why i kept playing OSU. I am happy to hear that they ran more against you. Even with my lower sample- that still would be better than last year which was one of the major reasons i stopped playing it.

I personally would have preferred a 8 minutes, 4th quarter only demo to a full game of 2 minutes each but i am sure EA has their reasons.

Id love to be a game guru, but ive been away from EA football too long to be beating this game on Heisman so easily... ive only lost twice out of maybe 15 games.

I agree with most of the Pros people have said, so no use beating a dead horse. The game is improved and it really shows.

        Cons:

        1) A-Im not entirely impressed with the locomotion tech they've added. There is not enough chopping of the feet when slowing down, the spin move requires no slowing what so ever and considering most moves do, its damn near an exploit.
B- The quickness of players isnt being relayed properly at times, for example the players on the line dont explode off, they take off like Mack Trucks. Another example of this is when i was on the open field with the Buckeyes RB and wanted to do a quick cutback on the defender closing from a bad angle. Instead of chopping his feet then making a natural cut attempt, he slowed down and did a cut attempt i would expect from a TE

2)Collision detection is hit or miss, i have had teammates bounce off running back with no animation of any king triggered. Almost as if the running back had a shield.

3)I have no idea why the same backpack tackles are still going 3yrs strong

        4) You can abuse the defenders momentum because you can pass it to a receiver at any time during their route, not according to their route ( no route based passing), making the passing game easy.

        5) Defenders dont seem to handle change of speed well. Using it i have run back 5 kickoffs already.

        6) Line play: No edge rush, no footwork, patty cake animations that should be move violent and frantic

This may seem like a negative post, but realize im a tough critic of EA and my complaint list of a demo is only 6 issues.

Do the nike pro combats automatically save to my system when I share the demo and play the games? I just turned the demo on and it no longer has that notification in the corner of the game option.

Game is great but way too easy. Also too many big plays, specially CB getting burned too often.

              Guys-

Just an update- spoke with Roy Harvey, Executive Producer of the game last night. The demo is an older build, with several glitches/bugs/exploits that have already been corrected in the final build. Look for an EA Blog to be posted in the near future that outlines these fixes.

Also, while not confirmed, it is believed that the version of the game I played in late April may have also been a newer version that what the demo was built on. Roy was going to look into this and let me know. To me, the version I played was light years better than the demo- and the demo is pretty darn good.

The pass rush issue still has not been addressed! The defensive line needs more animations, and better AI. IMO, it is still very bad. Since I am a former defensive player, I feel cheated again this year. EA's version of a pocket is laughable at times.

Overall, there have been some improvements, and game tweaks (on offense). The defense feels the same as last year. I just was hoping for something more innovative and new on the defensive side of the ball. Very disappointing. Maybe sliders will help this year. Wayyyyyy too much time in the pocket EA!!

I just played FSU (me) vs Florida & Miami (me) vs OSU. I love the game. Kick returners seemed very fast. I also liked how my RB stumbled into endzone. Favorite was my WR catching jump ball in endzone. Glad I preordered this Monday.

Is it me or does it sound like they finally put good recordings of fight songs in and also added a few "stadium sounds" of their own.

Re: NCAA Football 11 Demo Available Now, Post Your Impressions Here

I posted my initial impressions a way back, and they largely remain unchanged.

I hate to be a kill joy, but playing it a little more, my concern now is that once we get online and start playing ranked matches, and into our online dynasties, we are going to see more then a little bit of the 'same old EA'.

The game is a tremendous improvement vs the CPU. The CPU actually tries to compete, and people are going to lose games vs the CPU in online dynasty this year, and that is a good thing. Nothing was worse then padding your Win-Loss total against last years, garbage CPU...if you went .500 in your user vs user games, you were pretty much guaranteed at least a 8 win season, every year.

The problem for head to head play, is that many of the same old annoyances are still there.

                        1) I love that I can play as my DE /DTand not be vacuumed and sucked into blockers every snap..and I can effect the game. The RS moves feel waaay more responsive and fluid. Good improvement.

The problem? I'm the only one playing with any kind of aggresion. the rest of my DL teammates, are engaged in the same old patty-caking.

Yet another year of having to use 'jump the snap' on aggressive, in order to get the DL to play together, and with nastiness.

1a) It will also be yet another year of people being able to dance wide with the QB..due to lazy engagement by the DE's and no proper pass rush angles.

                        2) Im still seeing CB's giving an open, inside release in man coverage for slant, and drag routes.
--The programming and interaction hasnt changed here..its the same opld sloppy technique of just giving away the inside on these routes..regardless of the coverage scheme. This issue is masked somewhat by the QB's actually throwing errant, wayward passes on default settings, but the sloppy technique is still there.

                        3) completeing shallow passes underneath vs yellow zones is better then 09-10, but still s smidge too easy. At least, the defenders appear to be closing on them faster now..which is a good thing.

                        4) Pass pressure has no effect on passing accuracy. The QB can still deliver a perfect dart, with all kinds of pressure around him, and without having his feet set and shoulders square.

                        5) The CPU QB still freaks out on HB screens and gets killed.

I do give EA credit for making the CPu vs User experience a lot more fun, challenging, and engaging, howeverm there are still issues with a lot of the same problems which has made head to head play a pain in the neck at times.

It's a marked improvement to be sure, and I appreciate it, but I cannot put on blinders and pretend that old issues dont exist either.

                        I hope that's fair

only complaint is i dont like the field goal angle. i would much rather they follow the ball in the air so that its easier to tell if a kick is going to be short or not. at the demo angle i cant tell how many yards to spare the kicker had

I really enjoyed what I see in the demo. Right off the ESPN integration is very clean! The gameplay I thought was really smooth. Locomotion is outstanding. The blocking is much improved.

The team on NCAA did a fantastic job this year.

davey225 - it's all because ratings matter much more. If you are beat in real college football by someone as fast or faster than your CB then shouldn't they always beat you? Remember you're playing UT, if you're playing baylor or rice you'll catch the guy probably..

Firt, hello to you all ...

Second, I tried both demos and must admit I'm in a bit of a shock regarding the technical standpoint of the PS3-version.

The 360-version not only runs at 1080P (likely upscaled but who cares) and looks much crisper, it also runs much more fluid. The PS3-version has horrible stuttering, lousy blurry textures (midfield logos, jerseys etc) and microfreezes when you've selected a play from the play calling menu. It simply hangs for a fraction of a second and then goes on. It's absolutely horrible.

The 360-version on the other hand has far less jaggies and flickering (looks like better AA or at least some sort of AA where the PS3 version seems to go without), much better textures and none of those freezes.

I'm totally surprised to see such a huge difference between the two version. I wanted to buy the PS3-version (because I don't have 360 gold to play online) but the PS3 is pretty much unplayable.

                                Has anyone seen similar things?
