They had to make the game on two new consoles. So what did you expect, for the game to be perfect a few years after it came to a new generation of systems? How do you know they arent making improvements? I dont even know. All I know is they steps that they took forward in '11 gives us light that they will take more steps forward in '12. If not, then oh well. some wont buy the game and some will

Re: Anyone else not excited about NCAA 12?
I bought every College game since they've been making them going back to Bill Walsh.... I bought every Madden game they ever made until 2 years ago (09 was my last copy I've bought) , and I have to agree somewhat with the topic of this thread. I really can't say I'm going to give NCAA a chance this year, I feel as though I'm just over it. The game just doesn't improve or change enough. I think I may go for Madden this year although I'm not entirely sure on that either.
These guys have ran NCAA into the ground - Since coming to next gen there has been more than ample time to put out a much superior product than what they're releasing for the past two years. It pains me to say it, and maybe I'm finally maturing past NCAA Football at the age of 28, but that's my honest opinion on the state of NCAA right now. And there's no excuses that they can make, there's more than ample time that with a plan and a focus this should be a lot better, instead the plan and focus is "get the $60 again this year" which ironically goes against the pride and pageantry that NCAA Football is/should be all about.
They need to clean house, or these guys need to take a long look in the mirror and rededicate themselves because as a longtime fan(boy) of the game, I really feel indifferent about the series.Comment

Re: Anyone else not excited about NCAA 12?
As someone who takes NCAA Football a little more serious than the average, casual person, I have been impressed by how good the games have been, but for those hardcore or sim guys, the game just hasn't been totally perfect. Sure the option game and lack of depth can make the game a bit frustrating, but it's getting better. I already have my copy of NCAA 12 reserved at Gamestop and I am still very excited about the game. I'm a college football fan and to NOT buy the game wouldn't feel right to me. Even though the game has had me tossing my controller across my couch numerous times, I can still remember even more times where I have been at the edge of my seat in certain situations or jumping off of the couch with excited with both fists in the air as I barely escape with a victory.Cleveland Browns

Re: Anyone else not excited about NCAA 12?
I'm not excited really, probably won't be until the demo is released and I can "see" improvement firsthand. I don't trust EA at all, they come off like used card salesmen. Doesn't help when so far we've only heard about exciting new features like 3d grass, dreadlocks, lighting and pylon physics.Comment

Re: Anyone else not excited about NCAA 12?
They are not trying to sell the game right now. It would be nice to get some more info, but if you release too much then all the hype will die down by the time the game is at the local Wal-mart.... At least for the casual fan.Comment

Re: Anyone else not excited about NCAA 12?
I still think it's a little early for any major NCAA 12 hype. Fight Night Champion was released recently, Tiger Woods just shipped, and Shift 2 is out there, as well. IF they hype too early, and release too much, people will start to ask way too many questions. I'd rather have less information out there. EA's marketing is so good they can convince the masses "we listened to what you wanted, look how good it turned out, look at these high review scores" and people rush right out and buy it. Their NCAA fan base, especially the folks on OS, have a tendency to respond, "not so fast my friend!"
Tiburon has got to get this right. They can't allow EA's marketing to oversell NCAA 12. NCAA 11 was good, improved, but NCAA 12 is still three months from being shipped!Comment

Cant wait to see the living pylon physics...OMG its gonna be ****!!! SMH....
I stopped getting exited years ago. EA has improved in some area's but some things never change ie. the gameplay. This is the constant that has killed my joy...PSN: Somo23P

With that said MLB THE SHOW has done great on two new consoles. Gran Turismo 5 was simply amazing, Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare was amazing (sadly every following game save World at War has been progressivly worse).
Point is the argument that they had to program for a new system is not an excuse for the game to still be lacking 5 years after the next-gen consoles were released.
Quite frankly I will not be excited about this game no matter what "new" or new features they announce unless they directly state that they have improved pass coverage (both man and zone) and show me gameplay video of it. Not some scripted trailer but plain gameplay like I would find on youtube. Then they can show me how the play action works this year (if it works) as well as the option pass.
Simply put, while last years game may have been the best in years, it still had many major gameplay flaws that made Option Offense near unplayable and defense was unplayable for the most part. Thanks to LBzrules: So these threads won't be forever lost.

Re: Anyone else not excited about NCAA 12?
Like anybody that gets a monopoly on a market, EA is stagnant, knowing they can regurgitate the same crap and people will buy it regardless because it's our only college football option.
Which is why in my dynasty the cpu misses an extra point at least once a game. 4* wide receiver recruits can't catch. If you want to throw a screen to your running back, he better have been an ESPNU 150 recruit or he'll probably just drop it. Playing solid defense without blitzing the house is a pipe dream. Drive statistics have been laughable for years. In the released game, several play action passes sent my quarterback on a mission to get a safety. But who cares, we get bells and whistles like dreadlocks and blades of grass. And ERIN ANDREWS!!! As long as they can make a commercial that shows off visually or brings in a name that people know "ESPN GAMEDAY", they will have enough to make their commercials, and people will buy the game because it's the only option. I'm not saying it's a terrible game. I enjoy playing it. But that a corporation the size of EA can get away with making a video game with as many flaws as it does is laughable.Comment

Re: Anyone else not excited about NCAA 12?
I'm pumped for NCAA 12. The progress that they made from 10 to 11 was probably the biggest leap forward of any sports game this gen. Plus, Dynasty Wire easily the most innovative feature this gen. I play all sorts of different games and am far from a "football only" gamer. However, this is the first game that I have played this long after the real season ended since I was a kid and played Tecmo Super Bowl year round. Given their success last year and how much I've enjoyed the game, what's isn't there to be excited about? My 2K17 Boston Celtics MyLeague
