Re: Anyone else not excited about NCAA 12?

I stopped buy it as a 'rule' many years ago. There was a time that I was like some of the posters here, buy it every year no matter how bad it was or is.

Now I wait until I read some reviews and hear what the regulars on here say...as long as the majority of fans buy it regardless of quality they will keep shoving crap out the door. Money is the only thing that EA is interested in(not the Devs, don't confuse the football freak programming the game trying his best and the stuffed shirt pencil neck tie wearer that doesn't know the difference between a football and an M16).

I will add though, there is only a few small things that IF they fix them from the 11 version, I will buy again this year. The leaping DL/LBers that never miss the pass(or really the laser passes with no arch)is the MAIN thing. If they don't fix that nonsense, I am out. Oh, and a more depth in the coaching part of the game would be a MAJOR plus.
I know you think you understand what you thought I said, but I don’t think you realize that what you heard was not entirely what I meant.

judging by the blog post that iwill linked to it sounds like they were hard at work working out the kinks to the game.

Hopefully they post something soon, but I do feel that we wont get anything until after Mark Ingram is announced the cover athlete on the 19th

Re: Anyone else not excited about NCAA 12?

This is a wait and see type thing being excited over a game "now" wont really change whether or not I and I'm pretty sure many others will buy the game in "July". College football fans will get this game regardless because they are fans of the sport. They will come out with more and we all know they will but to complain how long its dragged out and say how low our excitement level is, is pointless when all of will buy this game no matter how much we disagree with the marketing strategy. Come July when ppl are holding this game are not going to think back to April and March and say "aahhhh man I wish they got me more excited about about this game earlier, sadface..." No we'll all pop it in and start ranting on every bug we see or how stupid line play is but still have fun playing with your fav team.

And checking a blog everyday for changes is showing that your anticipation and excitement is still there so technically their strategy is working, whatever it is, keeping their consumers in expectation of the game.

I think the Huskers will either go 11-1 this year or 8-4. I can't even make a prediction. As for Martinez, I used him in NCAA 11 and he was very fast. Granted I didn't play him until year two of my Dynasty when he was a sophmore.

Only problem is, when we hear about gameplay fixes/enhancements it's going to come from EA directly. Any write up before then will focus on the graphics and lighting, and maybe make some mention like, "The game is running smooth and feels great." Basically, all the stuff we've heard before for 6 years now. Guess it's something though.

I'm fired up because I love NCAA 11 (and still play it in my OD) and 12 looks much improved in graphics and the additions (long hair!) I've seen so far. Hopefully theres other major improvements but it's still pretty early to expect to know what those would be.

Re: Anyone else not excited about NCAA 12?

The way I see things, NCAA '11 was such a huge improvement from '10 that I expect any improvements for '12 to not match the 1 year improvement from '10 to '11.

At this point in my life, it's generally one between Madden and NCAA. I went NCAA in '11, bypassing Madden '11 based on Madden's lack of improvements from '10 to '11.

But with the supposed rehauling of the franchise mode in madden (I'm a franchise mode person), I expect the improvements in madden '12 to be significant. For me, that '10 to '12 improvement should be significant.

For me, I already received excitement from NCAA improvement from '10 to '11. Unless they absolutely blow me away, NCAA isn't happening. Heck, honestly, even a coaching juggle wouldn't get me to purchase NCAA this year. I mean, unless Madden absolutely bombs. Then I might give NCAA a chance, but honestly, the aesthetics don't intrigue me one bit.

I tend to avoid getting excited about games that are still 3+ months away in the first place. Just sayin'.

I am not that excited either at this point, even though things could change when some new information comes out. There are a couple of things that I need to hear were changed/implemented before I would get excited. I may still be busy playing The Show, when NCAA 12 is released anyways.

The biggest one is that CPU Spread Option teams like Oregon need to be more dangerous, and CPU dual threat qb's need to be a bigger threat running as well. I tweaked sliders and ratings like crazy in 11 trying to make these things better, but only with minimal effect. It is clearly something in the underlying code that needs to be fixed. This is major reason I stopped played NCAA 11, and won't be that excited for NCAA 12 unless something is done to address those two things. Dual threat qb's and the Spread option are too big of a part of the current college football landscape, to not be more dangerous and effective when controlled by the CPU.

ridiculous brother...How could you not be excited for ncaa12? NFL is on lockout, so there might not be a NFL season to watch and with all the new coaching changes in the NCAA this year and the new confrences I am sooooooo stoked for anything that EA puts out in regards to thier NCAA product. I can FINALLY get excited about michigan football again...I can root to hell and back for nebraska now because they are no longer big 12 foes (which is exciting) florida state and the bad boys are seemingly back, notre dame looks good, My boy muschamp has the reigns in florida nad man was their spring game awesome to watch. (no not because of the "high: score but rather the actual look of the offense. Fits their QB VERY nicely) And UT has that "boise state" look to it and their offense is potent. (did my eyes decieve me or did garrett gilbert FINALLY throw the ball like a MAN in the spring game. In any case, I am a mcoy fan) So with all this and I am still leaving tons of other teams out this year is the most exciting year for NCAA yet IMO, As long as they dont go the MLB2k route, NCAA12 will be amazing.

*Just excited so please dont take my post as saying your thoughts are ridiculous, more rather hyping you up on the bright side of things!
