To be honest I'm pretty sure most teachers don't even look up your sources.

I don't know what you guys wanted dude to do, a large video game website stating it as fact is about as good as it's going to get. They have no motivation to post lies, they actually have motivation to not post lies. EA isn't gonna have a press release stating "yeah we were lobbyin'!" Let's be real here.

Just drop it and move on. The "wheres your source" bait failed.

      Not even close.

You are trying to discredit members and shoveling it under the carpet. Him stating it as fact is your opinion, not his fact.

That explanation failed and time to move on is correct.

Everything on the internet must be fact, right?

I have yet to see any actual info that says ea solicited anything. Given that 2k debs said the exact opposite the notion ea pressed for exclusivity in 2004 has yet to be shown.

          Serious question to you.

What is your agenda? Why are you so passionate about this issue that you keep constantly defending it and posting in this thread. Despite stating previously that you are done posting about it and (if i remember correctly) that you don't even care.

Why do you care so much that I, and a few other people, take issue with EA's microtransactions?

I asked you first and you avoided by repeating the same question back at me. Tells me you want to avoid the question while I will answer yours.

I'm not the only one that said I would stop posting, and continued to post, so, that reason flies out the window.

By the way, you said serious question for you and yet you asked two more. Which one do you want the answers to that you cleverly avoided the same questions that I asked you.

Why do I care? Because it doesn't bother me how companies go about making a profit and I don't see why it should bother other people how companies make a profit making extras on top of a full game.

It's the sign of the times and I don't see it going away. A few people on a message board isn't going to deter EA or other companies to quit trying to make extra profits.

And you avoided all the questions you quoted me on.

It's not about whether what they said was a lie or not, it's about if it's a credible source, based on the evidence (or lack thereof) at hand. There's no concrete evidence, whichever way you spin it.

I do agree, we have to drop this subject. I think we can agree that we'll be purchasing NCAA Football 12, so we're simply waiting for E3 to show us some gameplay, and the opportunity to give some demo feedback.

Bottom line, microtransactions are really only a problem when you start charging for things like alternate uniforms, and even though I'll be getting the Nike Combat Unis since I pre-ordered, I hope they don't charge for those later, though I'm pretty sure they will.

They've already confirmed through either twitter or one of the live chats that they will offer the Nike PC uniforms as DLC at some point. We will see whether or not they decide to charge money for it. If they do you can guess what I'll have to say about it.

Pretty certain they said it would be available to everyone at no charge. It was mentioned during the live stream.

I didn't avoid the question. I straight up answered you. I don't think I have an agenda, if I do it's against these types of DLC. I do not like like microtransactions (especially release-day dlc). I'm going to speak out against them and voice my support when others (kotaku mainly in this case) do the same.

Other people have tried to suggest I have some vendetta against EA, but like I pointed out, I play 3 games this site covers. Only 2 of them use microtransactions and both happen to be made by EA. No surprise those are the ones I have beef with.

But basically though you have no issue with it, that's fine. There's a difference though between not having an issue and willingly defending it. Why do you fall in the second category instead of the first one? I mean let's cut to the chase, this thread is over 300 replies deep and you're the fourth most active poster. Has to be a reason.

Hopefully, everything I've seen just mentioned them saying it'd be available. No word on the price (if any). If EA makes it free good job doing the right thing.

Also, off topic question: Will we be getting Nike Combat Uniforms for playing the demo again, IN ADDITION to pre-ordering?

The Boise State Pro Combats are SICK, which is available along with Virginia Tech, Pittsburgh, TCU, and Ohio State. But that would leave out Alabama, Miami, Oregon State, West Virginia, and Florida, for a total of 10, based off of this lineup: http://www.nikeblog.com/2010/09/01/2...mbat-uniforms/

If we could unlock the rest by playing the demo, and based off of the first screenshot, it's fair to say that Florida vs. Miami would be a demo matchup. But what about the other teams?

Now, you are stalking and getting personal and that I have an issue with. When a debate goes to that point, no use going any further.

I defended it because I have no issue with it. What's wrong with that?

                          Have fun.

I could understand that, because the pre-order PCs are a reward for pre-ordering the game. But, seeing as how that's only half of the Pro Combat lineup, we can assume the other 5 teams with new Pro Combat unis (Alabama, Miami, Oregon State, West Virginia, and Florida) would be featured in the demo, giving us the opportunity to unlock those by playing it.

If that's the case, then EA would probably offer the pre-order PCs for 480 MS Points, or about $6. It costs at least $5 to reserve (at Gamestop) so that's pretty fair. But would they make a Pro Combat uniform Package, with all 10 uniforms, for more?

In the game. Hopefully EA has the other 5 teams with this year's (2010 editions) Pro Combats in the demo. (Alabama, West Virginia, Miami, Oregon State, and Florida). Safe to say Florida and Miami will be a demo option based off of the first screenshot.
