There were more features for this game on last gen systems. Soon there won't be a college fotoball video game because people will think there is no interest, when actually it's just people being tired of poor execution and don't want to buy it from ea's monopoly.

I really wanted to buy this game this year, but for two years in a row it will be a no buy.
I agree. I can t believe people still get hyped into this every year. It MAY be great. I hope it is. But I am way past getting all hyped up for this only to be disappointed. They've fooled me too many times.

The last time we were told an overhaul to passing was.... ?

I'm optimistic and hopeful. And I think a lot of guys share my point of view on this. I think people need to understand something: when guys like me say "this looks good," that doesn't translate into "ZOMG BEST EVAR RIGHT NAO!" It means "from what can be seen, this is the right path."

I don't think too many people here are blindly ready to claim NCAA 13 as awesome based on what was said.

I don't really care for the legends mode. I mean it's a nice thing to have and I can see why SOME people may want to dive into that, but I'm betting the majority of people won't really care for it or play it ever. Hopefully the gameplay and presentation are solid this year as well as a nice upgrade to dynasty and RTG.

new passing system sounds interesting... it'd be nice to see the corners and wideouts actually play the ball in the air realistically and stuff

Hopefully the crowd is way louder than last year (they said louder crowd too last year) and I hope this "read and react" defense, means that my defenders dont keep dropping back in coverage when they see my QB scramble.

Re: NCAA Football 13 Features New Passing System, Enhanced Commentary and More

It answers just about every big request that's been asked of the team. New passing system means probably better trajectory on passes, read and react AI probably eliminates psychic defenders, new commentary is a plus, recruit scouting is great (hopefully we get some busts and surprises now), studio updates mid game (everybody asked for this or at least something close), and enhanced audio means better crowds I would think.

I'll wait for the actual news to break before I judge anything, but at least they're moving in the right direction, and the one that the community has been asking for.

All these additions/changes seem to vague to really guess what exactly is coming but I'm encouraged.

Hopefully this means that the QB will get new ratings like short, med and long accuracy and Play Action.

Decent news to begin with. Cant put any more in until we see anything. All I'll say now is there BETTER be improvements to Teambuilder or else. . .

maybe as part of the presentation it means that the in game stat overlay's will work.

Only thing that worries me is with having 2 heisman winners on the cover and this new heisman game mode similar to nba 2k12, it makes me worry that they spent too much time on this mode. I would much rather them focus their resources on gameplay and dynasty because I feel like that is probably where 95% of peoples time is spent on these games.
I am with ya. Same concerns. I really want the ability to do more hot route types than whats there currently. A skinny post, different depth setting at crosses/slants, etc. Playing defense is boring even with sliders. We are in year 6 of our OLD and I would much rather be an OC only for the fact I dont have to play defense. Of course that bites ya too. I am anxious to hear what they have added and improved on in Dynasty mode. Mainly Online Dynasty. They also need a ton more animations and screen time with Erin Andrews

I thought 2012 was a very good version of the game. It had its issues, mainly super linebackers and the cpu screwing you all the time (holding calls on a 90 yard return or rush). The lack of Interference penalties is inexcusable, especially with the sliders at 100 for both off and def. The run blocking at the second level was very good for the most part in 2012. I hope they improve upon it.

So can someone tell me what this "scouting" feature will be about? What exactly will it do in the dynasties, buth online and offline?

One of my biggest gripes with every version to date is that a player can have his back to the ball, looking straight downfield and still have the ability to knock passes down. Granted I dont want every pass to be caught but there has to be a more realistic medium. I also feel like the sliders only work by "screwing" the user at certain times. Can rack up 4oo yards of offense and then all of the sudden in the fourth quarter you cant get any yards and the penalties mount up on the slim occasions that you can pick up some yardage.

I look forward to this game every year and this year will be no different. I am pissed I have to wait a month to just hear about what they have been working on. whats the point in that?!? They have PR guys for a reason, let them do their job. For those of us that are not fanboys nor fanhaters of EA and the NCAA franchise.

Other miscellaneous things I think about, will there be a Vita version with cross play/cross saving capabilities and will there ever be an iphone app for online dynasty modes? Being able to do my recruiting on the road and see dynasty highlight videos/pics and stats on the go would make this almost perfect franchise that much closer for me.

last year the dev team said that 'college gameday' will be somehow integrated in ncaa 13, didn't they?

Read and react? Lol….Get ready for EA’s next glitchy feature….

Has EA ever implemented anything without it being broken? Its either overdone or under. I see this as feature they're going to mess up. Basic physics would solve alot of the psychic play, just basic foot planting, momentum and change of direction along with working attributes...

Man what do these developers be thinking after almost 8 years on this current consoles.
Hopefully they actually work this year, but saying "Penalties actually work this year!" Isn't necessarily a jaw dropping back of the box feature, it's actually quite embarrassing that they don't work like they are suppose to. So hopefully they get revamped but not necessarily touting it.
