You can change the team names...stadium names...field type(you can use the high school fields for NAIA schools to play on). So you can pretty much do everything except change the field art and hopefully Connor will blow it all the way open with the uniform modding. I did a DIII mod this way.

What is this thread called, or is there a link for it?

If you’re just getting started you have to read through from the beginning to understand the process.

If you’re on PS3 and don’t know how to use Bruteforce, you’re going to have to visit that thread 1st, then visit the below TB modding thread.

Will this mod work on an Xbox360 emulator? I have a copy of the game and can dump the files, just wondering if it is worth doing on something like Xenia Emulator or if I should get a version of the game for PS3.

              Any update on this?

I understand life gets busy, especially now, but I'm really looking forward to this.

What I would really love is:
                updated espn graphics
somehow updated commentary from kirk and brad.

is this possible? like take real game audio from kirk and brads games and put it in?

Hey guys sorry for the long absence but I will 100% have a tutorial out by the end of the week. I see some questions in the thread since the last time I was here so I'll answer a few questions:

First, no I am not dead. Things have just been crazy with the pandemic, throw in being sick (not with covid) and trying to move out of town with all this going on and the last month has been a nightmare.

YES, this will work on both consoles. On PS3 you'll need either CFW or HEN installed (super easy guide here that works on any PS3 that is up to date: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fOKemRHAZ3c). On XBOX you'll almost certainly need to RGH or JTAG your console. I have tried repacking the modified game files back into the GOD form that the 360 uses for installed game data, but the console realizes the files are corrupt no matter how I try to repack it (even repacking the untouched game won't work). If we can figure out a way to repack the game cleanly then anyone on any 360 will be able to do this, but for now 360 users will need to RGH or JTAG their systems, which is a bit more involved than installing HEN/CFW on PS3 unfortunately, though it's not too difficult and only requires some basic use of a soldering iron AFAIK. If that's too much for you then you can always just buy a console that's already exploited or send your console in to a shop that will do it for you. Here is an FAQ about RGH/JTAG: https://www.reddit.com/r/360hacks/wiki/faq

Obviously this works on the PS3 emulator (RPCS3) and this WILL work on the 360 emulator (Xenia), however at the moment the game is not playable on Xenia. You can go into the menu and view your modded jerseys, logos, etc but once you go ingame graphics are completely broken. The Xenia team is great though so if you want to support them feel free to help them out via their Patreon.

Updated ESPN graphics (as well as a CBS replacement if we really wanted) should absolutely be possible. I don't exactly know how to mod this at the moment, but I'm sure once my tutorial is out there will be more knowledgeable people willing to help. I'm no expert at any of this, I just dedicated time to learning and I'm hoping more people will be willing to do the same.

As for updated audio, I'm not exactly sure how the audio cues work or what the exact logic is that causes certain cues to be said. Theoretically yes, we can replace the audio with new lines from real broadcasts but that will probably be a major undertaking and there are many more things I'd like to figure out that seem more feasible right now (updating the ESPN graphics and adding a proper CFB mod that doesn't require any extra user steps are at the top of my list right now)

Hope you all enjoyed this update. I'll make a new post on this forum with a link to the tutorial as well as a discord community two users were nice enough to help create for me. I'll be most active there so that will be the best place to communicate with me going forward.

Great to hear all is well Connor

Discussion about console altering will Def have to be done outside of OS.

Interesting thing is that my xbox360 Digital Download ver of the game shows Corrupt when viewing my ext HDD hard drive via Xbox after tinkering around, but it still loads the game (weird)
                      - Uni Packs are linked somehow to the Content Cache, and the save will report as corrupt when touching them, but deleting the Cache removes the actual Uni Pack also.
                      - had to take a break, but the Cache has a .BIN file that I never got around to messing with.

                      What’s the Discord?

As for console altering, I don't see why it can't be mentioned on here. Altering a console is not illegal. Piracy is, and yes altering a console makes piracy possible, but plenty of people will JTAG/RGH and install HEN/CFW to either legally play game backups of games they already own (which is our case) run homebrew applications. It's not like we're providing game files or links to download it. If it weren't legal then most emulators would not exist today! Of course if OS mods don't want that discussion here then that's their own decision, but there are no ramifications of altering your console to play games you legally own

As for uniform packs, I have already been able to modify the PS3 uniform packs by dumping them with the method in the RPCS3 wiki page and then decrypting the EDAT files with TrueAncestor EDAT Rebuilder. I only have the first free pack on XBOX and haven't tried doing anything with it yet, but you can dump the files using the method here: https://github.com/xenia-project/xen...w-to-rip-games

Altering the two should be nearly identical. The game files should be the same, they're just stored differently

Uniform pack data are in separate packages that you get access to when you purchase them as DLC. Even if you got your hands on the plain packages though, they'd be useless unless you have the proper license files to decrypt the EDATs

Right. I bought them all for my PS3.

I guess I wasn't clear, my question was where are those files stored on PS3 so I can bring them over to RPCS3?

I guess I wasn't clear, my question was where are those files stored on PS3 so I can bring them over to RPCS3?

Yes you can absolutely use them with RPCS3. Follow the instructions here: https://wiki.rpcs3.net/index.php?tit...ping_PSN_games

I would recommend obtaining game data using the CSV method instead of the JSON, but both should be relatively easy
