Personally I think with the new Update to Coverage is too good on the USER side. I think that is something which was probably more needed for Heisman level QB play.
I really didn't see any Robo QB on Varsity level even before the title update and that's my honest opinion. Now it seems like the improvements to coverage is suffocating the CPU QB. Don't get me wrong the level is really good ɓut it's still Varsity at the end of the day.
The CPU is too conservative offensively and I think the USER defensive sliders are too impactful. I know that sounds crazy but i believe USER defense is way too strong on this level.

Yeah as it stands right now EA made the USER Defense much better with the Update and that is forcing the CPU Varsity Offense to essentially play vs a USER Defense operating at or near AA level until certain sliders are lowered to compensate for the Boost Varsity level gives to the USER defenders.
Because of the base rosters having Play Recognition for so many defenders way too high it kills the CPU offense. That rating is why user defenders can sniff out CPU running plays immediately. Tackling is key but the Play Recognition off sets the tackling because USER defenders are all Ray Lewis at diagnosing the Play right away.
So I'm going to force the USER Defenders to play and react based on their true Awareness and Recognition without any boost that Varsity level provides to the USER Defensive Players. This is going to lead to some Defenders taking false steps, biting on play action by the CPU and not recognizing if it's a pass or Run Play until their Actual Play Recognition kicks in. I also want to be clear that Highly rated defenders will still perform and react quicker than lower rated guys.

Question about user run blocking. I am testing with Oregon vs. an FCS school, as it gives me a good baseline for what should be happening. I have turned the slider up to 20 already and I am still seeing instant sheds, or one of my linemen running past a nose tackle and a linebacker to go and block a safety. Is it just the run block slider that is causing this, or is it a combination of that slider and others?Comment

I got some great news on this set. I had someone that I've worked with in the past on sliders come up with some terrific settings for this set post patch. He basically took the hybrid zero set combined it with last years varsity settings which he apparently was still using for this years game.
I'm just wrapping up a few more games but right now I'd say the CPU run game is going to be the best I've seen to Date on this level. Now I will be upfront these settings shared will be Varsity but the challenge is going to feel more like AA difficulty.
I'm àctually not going to use the full CPU passing game settings which should be 35/65/50 the same exact 150 value as default settings. But if you really want to not short change them I'd highly recommend that setup for added challenge especially since they tend to come up short a lot on this level in the redzone.

Injuries seem a little higher than before I may have to bump that back down to 45 later.
Bump threshold from 20 to 25. Explain this provides more of a old school slow speed game play feeling and animations look more fluid.
Explain reasoning behind Reaction Slider being on the Lower end. It forces LB'S to read and react much more natural on USER Side. Stops User defenders from knowing the CPU play call instantly which gives CPU running game a chance to deveope often. Besides this is Varsty leve not Heisman where your guys will respond more often on their own.
Tackle Slider is used low as mentioned to create the RB animations and also stop guys from 2-3 yards away from being suctioned into Ball Carriers. This also improves the vision/Path Finding of the RB'S more than any other Slider the game provides. You can increase Run Block all you want it's not going to fix the CPU Vision. Run Block on this set is used to buy CPU enough time to locate opening then Awareness & VISION Takes over to avoid defenders.
Lastly we both agreed CPU offense tends to bog down much more in the Redzone on Varsity. I believe this is most likely because EA favors the USER on this level in terms of winning chance. I do not believe there is a comeback logic on this level by the CPU. But it's much easier to capture momentum vs them on Varsity because of the hidden boost towards USER players. So glad to see another great slider guru making a Varsity set. I adjusted a little of what I had looking at yours, just thinking what I was already seeing. A nice blend of Armor's and yours felt like a true masterpiece of a game. I beat Michigan with Ohio State 20-17 just testing changes. What a fun game! I just finished a game with this slider set. Really impressed with how the game played. Great animations, Realistic stats and player attributes seemed to matter. I also switched to Wide camera settings based on your suggestion. I think I will stay with Wide. I also just saw where you are working on a Pro set for Madden 26. Thank You so much!
