Re: canes21 College Football 25 Sliders
Kramer, I think press is bugged. It has missing animations it feels like and WRs get super wins far too often regardless of match up. I can't imagine EA tuned it this way unless this is their way of making the press abilities really matter which I'd get, but they overdid it.
I don't press as often as it's like because it's literally a 50% chance or more of a TD if the CPU QB puts any loft on the throw.
Regarding what you guys are saying about v1.2's coverage, make sure you're mixing up coverage and disguising your coverage. If you're still struggling, don't be afraid to mix and match parts of v1.1 and v1.2. Or, you can always stick with v1.1. I always leave the older sets up for instances like this where some may prefer them to the newest set.
Don't feel forced to have to use the newest version if an older version felt really good for you. End of the day, we're just trying to have fun.

I'm currently testing 2 different slider sets, I really like some aspects of 2.1, so I will make some adjustments based on that set, but I always keep my "fll back" set ready
Great job on the Heisman set Canes, if I'm not mistaken, aren't you the only one doing a Heisman set so far?People are for reviews if it backs their argument, and against them when they don't.“I believe the game is designed to reward the ones who hit the hardest – If you can’t take it, you shouldn’t play!” Jack Lambert“Quarterbacks should wear dresses.” Jack LambertComment

Re: canes21 College Football 25 Sliders
Yeah, something is definitely off when using press, as far as mixing up coverage, I am constantly mixing things up...one area I'm definitely going to keep an eye on is the lack of CPU Wr drops, it seemed like Western Michigan rolled out Jerry Rice and throw in the Dolphins Marks brothers, and these dudes weren't dropping anything...lol

I think I may be the only Heisman set around, but I haven't looked at every other thread here. I've been too engrossed in these test dynasties over the weekend and haven't really read too much, just been enjoying the gameplay of this game. I've been loving 1.2 in both my Miami and UMass dynasties.“No one is more hated than he who speaks the truth.”

Re: canes21 College Football 25 Sliders
I'm not sure how I feel about user tackling at 37. It seems like no matter what I or the AI defenders do, most tackles are being broken now, even from guys who don't have super high break tackle.
College is definitely sloppy in the tackling department, but on a lot of plays it feels like whoever has the ball for the CPU is covered in grease. The CPU tackling seems better, not too good not too bad, so I think I'm going to bump user tackling up to 40 and play a few games, see if it gets any better for my end.
I don't need every tackle to be made, I like seeing the CPU be able to pull a rabbit out of its ***, but at 37 for me the affect feels too overdone, and it's not just square or hit stick type tackles that get nearly instantly broken, even conservative wrap tackles on back to back to back attempts seem like wet paper.

Re: canes21 College Football 25 Sliders
Drops are something I'm still paying attention to. We keep going lower and lower with the catch slider and the drops don't really increase. I'm wondering if that slider even works at all. It's clearly not as strong as some other sliders like Ball Security and Interceptions. If they all were that sensitive, making sliders would be a lot easier, imo.

Re: canes21 College Football 25 Sliders
Is anyone else having trouble stopping the run? I have an 82 overall defense and have given up 230 (West Virginia), 298 (Iowa State), and 366 (Cincinnati) in rushing yards. I even have the run blocking turned down to 85 because I was averaging 250+ rushing ypg with it at 100.
Curious what everyone else is doing who isn't seeing these types of rushing numbers from non dominant rushing teamsComment

I also don't switch in either dynasty. My Miami team was stuffing everyone just about. My UMass team is rough, but I still contain the run half the time.“No one is more hated than he who speaks the truth.”

Re: canes21 College Football 25 Sliders
yeah I honestly just load the box if I see a 2RB and 1-2WR set lol. I would like the CPU QB to toss more incompletions but I'll live with everyone throwing the 65-70% for now. I am Kennesaw after all. Hopefully EA's first patch isn't a complete dud.Comment

Re: canes21 College Football 25 Sliders
That's college football man. Look at the completion percentage stats from last year.
The top 100 last season bottomed out at 57.6% completion rate. With Bo Nix leading the way at 77.4%. The mid line in that top 100 is in the 63-64% mark.
College defense is a lot looser than pro. Is there a smaller amount of off target throws than I'd expect with lower rated QBs? Yes. But it's made up for the defense being tighter and causing more incompletions.Comment
