Really digging the updated sliders. They're really playing great, but man I can't hit a deep ball for anything lol. I obviously don't want to cheese, but one would be nice. My reciever has 2-3 steps of separation, I step into it, still results into a last second swat by the CPU. It could possible be just a me thing, but I don't know what else I could do on my end. Thoughts?

Are you getting enough loft under the ball. I've noticed anything other than a lob can often be swatted. Even then, I'll throw a lob with a high pass modifier and that can help ensure it gets over the DB and it doesn't always require the WR to jump.

Yes, I'm throwing lobs. I have not tried with the high pass modifier. So, hold L1/LB, and lob it correct?

Exactly how to do it. Timing also matters. Whenever I have a play where I am taking a deep shot, like say the dagger concept or slot fade, I usually am watching the key to that route at the snap and if I see it's there, I am throwing the ball before the WR is even 10+ yards downfield most times.

That seems to help a lot as I've noticed waiting any longer hardly ever leads to a strong throw out in front unless you're using free form with the placement mechanic. Whenever I do throw it later, I have noticed a significant difference in throw quality when stepping up with anyone with the step up ability vs those without it.

Wish we had Instant Classics added back in. This would have been #1. Using the most updated sliders produce the best game I have played in CFB 25 yet. OSU stuffed us on a 4th & goal at the 1 in OT to win the Big Game. Amazing work Canes!

Agreed! I don't want to get too ahead of myself as I've only played 2 games so far with this updated set, but they're two of the most exciting games I've played in this game.

Last night I played in the 2029 NCG: #4 FSU (me) vs #1 LSU.

I jumped out to a quick 17-0 lead in the early 2nd quarter, running all over their #1 defense....I was ALL ready to come back in here and say "The sliders are good, but too easy, gonna need to change".

*Lee Corso voice* "Not so fast, my friend!"

And then LSU started chipping away. TD right before the half. I fumbled a run in their territory in the 3rd quarter. I threw a pick in the 4th.
I carried a 23-21 lead with under a minute to go as they chipped into my territory. With no TOs and from about the 33 yard line, they lined up and JUST BARELY snuck it between the uprights for a literal last second FG and win..... 24-23.

Devastating.

But also immensely enjoyable. Easily the "#1 Classic" for me so far in my ~180 hours with the game.

Based explicitly on the patch notes they’re shouldn’t be any changes gameplay wise other than fewer broken plays with uncovered players (which were pretty rare anyways in my experience). Was hoping for some improved QB logic but we probably won’t be getting any other major gameplay updates until CFB26 at this point. But overall I think the game is in a really good spot and by far the best console football game ever made. And as a bonus I think this year was a lot about laying the foundation for the future so I’m really excited to see what they have lined up for next year.

Was waiting for this patch to do my final restart dynasty using these sliders so I’m pumped to get it going! Just need to decide on a team since I’ve played about 4 first seasons with WMU and need to switch it up haha. Plus for some reason their coach prestige is bugged and shows as a B+ despite my created coach and coordinators averaging out to a C- or D+. Need to make a few updates to my recruiting house rules as well and wait for the roster update but should be able to start tonight and will post some updates in this thread like others have. I know canes said he doesn’t mind and personally I like reading through the updates in the slider thread as you know exactly what sliders people are using so it makes it a bit more relevant imo.

Just posting more proof that these sliders are legit! lost to an undefeated Bama last night in the Peach Bowl. A pick 6 I threw in the 1st quarter basically was the difference. Bama ended up winning the Natty and finished 16-0

- Only thing that I might change is the CPU pass blocking to 90 since my Dline is full of 90 overall players.

I saw here on OS and in other communities that people were saying the most recent Madden patch had tuned the speed threshold slider and a default 50 value now is much tighter than it has been in years. The videos I had seen showing different players running down field together seemed to back those claims up as the splits were no longer comically large.

I decided to put the slider at 50 in this game and went into practice mode and did the same testing with different speed players and was actually shocked at the results. I expected a default 50 to be as comical as I remembered it, but it was actually very tight with a 88 speed WR being within 2 yards of a 98 speed WR after 40 yards. In the past, a default 50 would have led to them having 5+ yards of separation between them minimum.

It makes me wonder if the slider has also been touched in this game as well in one of the patches. That seems to indicate so.

I always felt the animations were smoother and the players felt like they have more weight to them on 50 Speed Parity. Would the slider set need a full overhaul?

I think that's encouraging. Would you need to overhaul the whole set to accommodate 50 threshold?

Wouldn't need a complete overhaul, I don't think, but some tweaks would be needed.

It would also potentially help the CPU rushing attack out which I've been chasing forever.

Anybody notice any changes since the patch?

I've only played one game last night, a close one at home against a Top 25 Iowa team, I won 31-28.

I hesitate to take anything away from the game for fear of obvious placebo effect, but it certainly felt like the CPU offense was more competent against my highly rated D.

I have a very tough schedule this year so not a lot of disparity to judge my highs and lows, but curious what everyone is noticing.

*EDIT* As an aside, I did notice quite a few more fumbles? I think they may have fixed the fumbles never happening issue. I rarely saw 1 every 3-4 games or so....and after the patch, I saw 3 in one game (two from the CPU, 1 from me)

Played a thriller today on the new patch, haven't updated sliders to the most updated set yet (we don't change sliders midyear in my OD). I'm EMU in 2029, we just lost at home to WMU in a back and forth game. WMU took the lead on a long TD drive with about 30 seconds to go, then I had a chance to win after 2 defenders got tied up in man coverage. WMU safety made a spectacular play to dive and bat a ball away that would've won me the game on the 2nd to last play (WR was open but my QB has a noodle arm). Heartbreaking loss but fun!

Hey there y'all - would it be helpful at all if I have several seasons on the last patch (soon to be on the new patch) with recorded data for my team as well as high level data recorded for anyone in the top 25?


I am working on a project that aggregates data from a phone camera to input into a franchise history tracker but I started using these sets with the hopes to make the game more difficult (without cheese managed to lead UTSA to a 2 round playoff their second season) and felt that detailed stats for each player, relevant award winners, and overall results may be helpful for tweaks.


Let me know and I can upload to here or transfer to Google Sheets if needed.
