NCAA 06 sim only, first one I've ever done. Picked the Spartans of San Jose St and ended up being the WAC champs and with a bowl appearance vs Miami. Unfortunately losing that game bringing the season total of 8-5. Off to recruit and hopefully and get 8-10 win season next year.

Thanks! Just finished up off-season recruiting and finished with the 87th class. Had 15 signings but thought I had a better class.

Well after a difficult recuriting off season it lead to a hard regular season, and a wild one at that. Started the season 0-4 and then won 5 straight. Unfortunately finishing the season at 6-6 and no bowl appearance.

Yes there is. Nothing like the 11 and up though on ps3/360. I'd say watch Playbook Gamer on YouTube for a good breakdown on the recuriting. Its definitely a challenge but it keeps it entertaining. Its hard sometimes, you can't go after a 4 start player when your a 1-2 star school. Really got recurit the interested players in order to fill the holes in the depth chart.

Coming off the big win over Notre Dame, the Black Knights of the Hudson head to Cincinnati to take on the #8 ranked Bearcats. The win over Notre Dame catapulted Army all the way from 41 to 17 in the rankings. Despite this, the Bearcats are still heavily favored.

Year 3 of SJSU sim only we went a disappointing 5-7. I now have the choice of extending the contract for another 2 years in hopes of turning things around, which im kinda leaning towards Or I continue with my backup save and I can pick from a multitude of teams which includes Vandy, Boise, Illinois and Indiana. Had a strong in season recuriting and feel like I can continue that with the off-season recuriting. As the other options are pretty solid and i feel like I could get a better recuriting class at those schools, I'm really at a loss on which direction I should go.

Oh If I get fired thats what happens, but I kinda look at it like I have coaching offers, I'd like to look and see what you have on your roster, who's coming back and who you recruited.
But I did end up coming back and signing that 2 year extension. Just finished up off season recuriting and signed a 65 ovr class. Best one yet in 3 years.

Other dynasties though, I'll start as the coach of the worst school in the game and try to work my way up. I have rules about what offers I can accept though to prevent me from moving up too quickly. My rules are:


1. I can only accept head coach jobs, no coordinator positions.



2. If I'm not in the last year of my contract, I can only accept an offer from a higher ranked school. So if I manage to get, say, Georgia State into the top 25 and I'm given an offer from a bigger school that is currently unranked, I cannot accept that offer.



3. If I'm in the last year of my contract and I am not offered an extension, I must accept the first head coach offer I receive, regardless of rank.


4. If my current school offers me an extension, I must accept it regardless of any other offers.

Solid rules, I'm in 06 so the "coaching Carousel" is a bit different.

For me, it depends on what kind of dynasty I'm doing. If I want to just play as one team, then I stick with that team until they fire me no matter what offer I get.

I never played 06. I remember playing NCAA College Football 2K2 on the Dreamcast back in the day and then I got out of sports games for a long time until I bought NCAA Football 13 and later bought 14.

As much as I love 14, I play 06 a ton. As obvious as it sounds, they are both their own games. 06 is a blast and this is the first time I've done sim only. Never thought I'd like it but playing with a lower class team I'm having a fun time building them up.

I'll probably go back and try out all the older NCAA games if I can find copies of them. I've been watching videos on the older ones and everyone has nothing but good things to say about them.
