Tuscaloosa Thank you very much and everyone else. This version of Bruteforce automatically loads the files and I can open PS3 files and edit now. Now that the season is over, I have a lot of catching up to do.

Again thanks a bunch and I'm sorry if I was a pest. If anyone needs my help with something feel free to ask. I will do my best to help like yall helped me.

With me , they didn’t show up at first and I had to click All Files then Refresh. That might be the problem with my copy of Bruteforce

USR DATA, Hed data, and Param all showed up at bottom left instantly. Might want to uninstall Bruteforce and start with a new one.

I find it amusing that the OS icon for NAU is 20 years (and three rebrands!) out of date.

Thanks. I downloaded the one in the link a few posts up and it works. They show up instantly. That was my problem as I suspected.

Haze88, if you are still having problems with this , click on the link on Page 7 (I think) and that is a good copy of Bruteforce.

I actually got mine to work a couple days ago. Had to use the purple and yellow editor and it worked like a charm. Next up is learning how to do playoffs and maybe some code edits to positions

Okay so I have this error now... idk what to do I change the file name and load it into the dB editor and wham I get the not a .MC02 file. I’m using Bruteforce 4.7.4 and using the current editor. It does say that the hash key is missing and a fallback one will be used but I don’t understand what’s going on now if someone could use mine to figure out what’s the deal maybe it has something to do with my profile or sfo file or something idk I have no idea what’s going on. Please help!

Update: It works for a dynasty that does not have teambuilder teams in my case.

You can get it to work with Teambuilder teams . After decrypting the file , select USR DATA and right click on it. Select “Open in Patch Creator” then at the top row of options, select Tools, then Hex Editor. You should see the code and you will see a string of “Ys”. Go to the end of the Ys. (You should see “DB” at the beginning of the next line.)
Highlight the last row of the Ys just above the DB. Select Edit, Select Block. Enter 0 for the start. The end will be automatically entered. Select Copy, then Cut. “DB” should be at the very top on the Right side. Save and close. Now open the editor and add the MC02 extension. Open the file and it should open.

Note: you need an Editor that accepts Teambuilder teams . It’s floating around this site somewhere.

You need to use bruteforce save data to decrypt the save

I posted this in the ' how to mod uniforms ' thread. the link below walks through the steps for a teambuilder dynasty in the editor AND you are able to keep custom logos.

                        Hi all,

                        Hope everyone is well.

I'm getting this same error message. I seem to be doing everything as listed, and when i try to import the new mc02 file into the purple and gold editor its saying that this is not an mc02 or db file.

                        Please help!

My old computer broke and I had to get a new one. Fortunately I had Bruteforce program saved on USB so I was able to just re-install it.

Unfortunately, when I select my file to edit, I can’t decrypt it until I select All Files, then Refresh. I am then able to decrypt. However, the editor won’t recognize it as an MC02 file, even though I add the extension.

I ordered a copy of the Xbox360 version and I should get it by January 30. In the meantime, I’ll keep trying Bruteforce. Any help I’d appreciate very much.

I have the copy of Bruteforce from this thread (Page 6 or 7. Sendspace.com or like that) . It worked on my old computer but won’t on my new one. I can’t get the files or Decrypt to show up instantly anymore.

I can email you the copy of brute force I have. It has been working perfectly fine for me. Also, may want to try this. I was having the same issue with the DB Editor saying it wasn’t a MC02 file when I changed it. So instead I removed mc02 file and put it back to it originally file and tried and it loaded it without an issue.

Instead I open brute-force > select USB > select dynasty file > decrypt > open editor with config > open click on USER-DATA edit whatever I want > save > close and encrypt everything against and I’m done.
