    Re: RIVALS 22-23

    WEEK 4

    -----------------

    **** GOTW ****
    [emoji91] 7 FLORIDA vs 4 OREGON [emoji91]

Gameday is headed to the SWAMP! Florida will host Oregon in what is sure to be 4 quarters of championship level football. Oregon is fresh off of a 43-13 win against the defending National Champions and are looking to ride that momentum against the Gators. Florida has bounced back since their season opening lost to Arkansas and is back to playing at the level we saw them last season. These teams dont have much of a history of games or bad blood, but these 2 head coaches do. This will be a chess match from the jump, but I also expect them players to be fueled by the media hyping the coach rivalry all week. As if a top 10 battle against a team across the country wasnt enough. I think this matchup slightly favors Oregon because of their defense and team speed, but Im going with Florida at home. The consistency that Boogie has brought to Florida in these U5 games is beyond impressive. They win this game theyre right back in the Championship conversation. Florida hasnt had an easy game all year, 3 straight ranked SEC opponents to open the year has this team ready for the big games. I expect a low scoring first half but a close finish.

READ THESE AGAIN BEFORE YOU PLAY!!!!!!!

4th inside the 35 is fair game.. down in the 4th or down big are the exceptions (Overtime is fair game)
    *keep it realistic*

••remember in game coaching adjustments are allowed, EXCEPT for the clock option

No huddle can not be run after INCOMPLETE PASSES and SACKS (if you accidentally do it dont burn a timeout)
    - if you run the ball and lose yards or run out/step out of bounds you can still go no huddle (same as cpu)

Run plays can be repetitive, Pass plays must be mixed up

    4th down rule
    - 4th inside the 35 is fair game
    - down in the 4th OR down big at any time is fair game from anywhere (Overtime is fair game)
    * keep it realistic

    Reminder
    - No runs to EITHER side of an empty set

    Goalline
    - only allowed inside of either 5 yard line

    Allowed***
    • Oline shifts (pass only)
    • User Catches
    • Running with QB is fair game (just dont purposely cheat with it)
    • Hot Routes only to add a blocker
    • In game coaching adjustments
    • Endzone Kick return if CPU takes off

    Banned***
    • Read Options
    • Hot routes
    • Pass plays cannot have 3 players running the same route (hail mary's ok)(posts and corners count as the same)
    • No Shotgun Offset runs
    • 5 wide

The settings I wanted from the jump are back.

JP got yal some easy wins but the real season starts next week when these mfs are fully in. Dont wanna hear yal crying either, big boy football from now on. Find a way to win or quit.

Texas beats Kansas,52-17. Forced a few turnovers and Kansas is horrible on offense. Their only offense came from either their Qb or Rb going beast mode and breaking a bunch of tackles, really. Back ups played the whole 4th quarter.

          [emoji599] BREAKING [emoji599]

Oklahoma Sooners head coach Jay Cane has announced that Spencer Rattler will start this week at QB as the team travels to Houston for their first conference game of the year. Caleb Williams who has thrown 8 interceptions in his first 3 games has been outplayed by Rattler statistically but Jay did not answer any questions that would indicate whether this change was permanent, temporary, or if the QB competition was back open.

            HOUSTON vs 12 OKLAHOMA
            Big 12 Opener

            1st
Houston gets the ball first and their spread kills our base defense. 3rd string QB Massoud hits passes of 16, 17, and 33 on an impressive opening drive capped off with a 4yd td run. 7-0. 24 yd run by Brooks open the game but the drive stalls. Houston gets to midfield before an HB screen is picked off by Bonitto and returned for 6. 7-7. OU defense comes back out energized but give up 37yds on a 3rd and long followed by a 46yd td pass, both to Dell. 14-7. 42yd KR sets up OU in good position, Sooners get 3 out of the drive. 14-10 HOU.

            2nd
Sooners abandon the man defense completely (too many glitchy plays 1 on 1), Houston gets inside the 20 but Massoud fumbles on a scramble and OU recovers. OU responds with an 18 play the drive that takes 6 minutes off the clock and Brooks gives OU their first lead of the game. 17-14.

            3rd
OU gets the ball but both teams stall with 3&outs. Williams gets 22 yds on the punt return setting up field position from midfield and Rattler hits Mims on the next play for a 51 yd td. 24-14 OU. Both defenses get stops again but OU manages a fg. 27-14. Houston gets a few 1st downs and pin OU back on a punt. OU stalls and Houston starts rolling.

            4th
11yd td scramble by Massoud makes it a game again. 27-21 OU. This is where things get crazy. OU puts together a 9 play drive after a 38 yd KR. Rattler hits Stoops on a post but its dropped. Next play Caleb comes in for a triple option in the redzone and its intercepted and returned for 82yds giving Houston the lead. 28-27 HOU. 5:54. OU goes to their trio of RBs and get down to the redzone, but on 3rd and long Rattler is picked off across the middle. Another 3 points left. With 2:32 Houston tries to run but OU sends the house. 3&out with 1:45 left. Drive starts off with some runs to move the chains despite the clock ticking, Rattler almost gets sacked but barely gets it out of his hand or we take a 10 yd loss on 2nd down. 3rd down Caleb is still in on the shotgun formation from the triple option but I dont know... he drops back and sees an out route at the last second before getting hit, 21 yd first down to Mario. Biggest pass of the game. We're in fg range down 1 with 1 timeout so we win as long as we dont fumble. We run a few times to line it up but Brooks ends up scoring the go ahead td with 0:22 left. We miss the 2pt but go up 33-28. Houston cant do anything with the 0:22, Sooners survive.

Settings are tough like I remember, I know one chnage might ruin everything but I may have to up our pass coverage again bc man coverage isnt even worth calling rn. Could be the transition week idk

              Re: RIVALS 22-23

              Minnesota @ Ohio State

Game would start with the Gophers going 3 and out. Stroud and the offense would go to work right away as he would hit Wilson on a 19 yard strike to give Osu a 7-0 advantage. Minnesota would respond with a 61 yard td run by Potts whom went beast mode to tie it at 7. The 2nd quarter featured a Henderson 2 yard td run and an Int by Chambers that would set up a Henderson 6 yard run to extend the lead to 21-7. The Gophers responded with a 3 yard td pass shredding the Buckeyes defense via the pass to make it 21-14. Stroud would hit a pass to Njigba and Henderson would explode for a 50 yard td as the Gophers d really seemed to fatigue 28-14. The Gophers would miss a fg on the next drive setting up Stroud to possibly put some more points on the board. Stroud would hit Fleming just before halftime from 15 yards out to make it a 35-14 game. The 3rd quarter would feature Stroud finding Egbuka from 35 and Njigba from 75 while the d would only surrender a fg 49-17 going to the 4th. The 4th would see the backups go off on offense with Pryor scoring from 6 and 44 yards out while Williams would get a 4 yard plunge that was setup by a Crowley 20 yard run. The d would surrender 2 tds in typical fashion as Osu would dominate for the majority of the game. Luckily for Minnesota we dropped at least 7 picks that were more bailouts than anything, on to next week!
