I'd like to propose 2 new rule changes. The first, we allow 1 hot route per play. That would include changing a Wr route or having your Rb or TE stay in to block. The 2nd, we can recruit 1 Athlete per recruiting class but you can't have the athlete play Qb. Athletes at Qb are just too OP.

Well, the hot route one could solve a couple problems, at least to me. There's a lot pass plays that have at least 1, sometimes 2 useless wr/te routes in them. This would help that. It would also let you change a route on someone to take advantage of a defense, which happens all the time in football. Plus it would open up the playbooks a little if we could call a play that has 3 wr's all running the same route, if we could hot route one of those routes. The athlete rule is just to try it out really. Recruiting 1 athlete per class shouln't have too much impact on the overall game (especially if we ban them from playing Qb). At least not like when we all recruiting 4 or 5 athletes per class.

Let me make sure you know why they are there to begin with incase I didn't explain it before

Valid logic with hot route, but you do know those problems you're talking about were my goal right? JP is averaging 70ppg, youve had the top passing offense every season for a decade regardless of your roster AND got a 5 star QB/WR combo every year too lol.. the rule was to make it tougher on purpose.. If you think it needs to be scaled back thats an option for sure, but the game being too easy and us always having top 10 seasons is the problem I was trying to solve.. AND the fact that even in close games we usually score on the last drive

The Athlete rule was to make it harder to always have play makers on your roster AND to have rebuilding/down years every now and then.. I agree with the QB idea but even with other positions its hard to find them. Ive been trying to find a game breaker at RB both years with OU but havent had one on my list whos explosive. Thats OUs problem irl too, good backs but no game breakers.. If yal give me one every year Im set.. Same with CB actually, I havent grabbed any food ones. The other issue is that the CPU doesnt recruit them like they do other positions, so you could literally grab 20 in a class if you wanted with no push back. If that wasnt the case I probably wouldnt even have the rule tbh.. Cool with adding one if yal want tho, or maybe like if you win the Natty you get one? Something like that could be an option

Not dead set on either rule but that was the thinking behind them

I'm cool with not doing either tbh. Just thought i'd throw out some ideas, especially the hot route one, because you mentioned it a couple seasons ago. If we're looking to make the games a little harder, then we should probably get rid OL shifts on passing plays and user catching tbh. I still don't know why you count post and corner routes as being the same, thats like saying a in route and a out route are the same lol.

                        National Championship

Osu would start out on offense looking to strike quickly and grab momentum Henderson would take 2 carries for 10 yards a pop and Stroud would go playaction off of it making a nice throw to Fleming. The downside was Stroud was knocked out for the rest of the half. The run game took over with Henderson eventually scoring from 2 yards out. Ole Miss would take over with some star studded power early on the Osu defense looked to contain it not stop it. Corral after a couple of nice passes would try a out route that was read perfectly by Martinez who would house it from 59 yards out and Osu would jump out to a 14-0 lead. Corral would lead Ole Miss 75 yards ended in an 8 yard pass to Jackson to make it 14-7. Ewers was sent out to lead the Osu offense first play he hands off to Henderson who made a nice cutback to salvage a short gain but somehow Ewers ended up hurt for the game. Coach Jp would call a timeout and gather the offense telling the Oline and Rbs they must now dominate on the ground. The drive was iffy at best but ended with a fg to make it 17-7. Corral would quickly lead the Rebels and find Jackson for a 17 yard td and it was 17-14 with just over 2 before half. Osu rotated 3 backs as the oline took over on the next drive. Henderson would cap it with a 2 yard td with 5 seconds before half as Osu would take the 24-14 lead.

Corral would come out after halftime looking good leading his team on a long drive. He would look for Jackson on a post route that was open and Martinez again would save the day with his 2nd pick. Osu had Stroud back and ran the offense as normal after only 40 first half pass yards. A mix of Henderson and Stroud finding Wilson a couple of times would lead to a Wilson 17 yard td to go up 31-14. Corral would hit Plumblee on a busted coverage for a huge play that led to an Ealy 4 yard run to make it 31-21. Stroud and Co. would quickly respond with big plays that were definitely not there in the 1st half Henderson took over in the run game capping this drive off with an 8 yard td run to put Osu up 38-21. Corral looking to keep the Rebels chances alive would quickly move into scoring range but the Osu defense started to really clamp down. Johnson was beat on an out route but Martinez saw it the entire time and would pull in his 3rd pick of the game( first time outside of the game against Texas I could actually get him to make a play on the ball) Stroud would hit Fleming for a short td and Pryor would score once more as Osu wins the Natty! After the game Coach was asked about rumors of retirement but responded with we are going to enjoy this we earned it, several good teams out there that deserved a shot at this thing and we stood the grind of the season we will dig into the future another time! Time to celebrate with my team! Gameball goes to the Osu oline putting up 325 rush yards and 4tds while the pass game limped.

Yea we had the hot route rule in for a few seasons I think, definitely not overpowered or anything.

The line shifts where for balance since I have the OL blocking low, didnt want people scrambling every play and dealing with the issue Breezy and my brother had. User catching was because the cpu controls our players during the EA games and it takes away from the realism.

I dont think corner routes and posts arent the same, but the purpose of the rule was to not have 3-4 streaks, 3-4 slants, 3-4 ins/outs.. Hasnt seemed to slow anybody down idk what play it is you want to run so bad but you been on that for like 3 seasons [emoji23] your pass offense is #1 every year without it, that one play isnt hurting you lol

We will see….gonna lose a lot on offense but the defense should be pretty dang good. Losing Chambers is going to hurt that guy the last was games was everywhere probably the best defender on the team and only rated an 86. You would’ve definitely had a shot but this Osu team had a pretty clear advantage in the trenches against your Sooners I would say in the wr/db matchup to with 5-6 guys I can go to except you usually erase most that yourself would’ve been a fun game!
