I made a thread for this on EA Forums. If it gets enough traction it's possible they do something about it, but idk.

That really sucks that even if you wear the Tampa Bay retro white uniforms, you don't get the retro field art. If EA wanted to limit the retro field art, then it should be tied to the era helmet worn only. Don't understand why you can't mix and max attire. Don't go there "NFL won't allow them to" guy 🤣🤣🤣.Comment

I can't even select different uniforms...i.e. wearing the preset away jerseys or alts at home. They don't appear visually, and even if I select them - they re-set and disappear! This is in franchise on PS5.
For example, I'm the home team, switch my uniforms to the road jerseys...then I go to the away team (to have them wear their home jerseys) and the player is gone (but I select their home jerseys anyways). Nothing saves...when the game kicks off - it's the traditional home vs road.👍 1Comment

I'll mix and match my falcons and the team I'm playing, but after halftime it switches on its own to traditional, current uniforms.Comment

Yes, disappointed. I love the Cowboys 76 away uniform, but not the red, white and blue helmet stripe. Would love to use the current helmet, but sadly I cant.Comment

For those who play on PC, it is of course possible to mod uniforms to anything you want in theory. That can be a bit difficult depending on your experience modding the game and level of expertise.
Now, using the uniform parts that are already in the game to create a custom uniform set, that is easily doable. For example, using Bobbyjones preference for Cowboys uniform, you could set the Cowboys 76 uniform as the default home uniform, along with the the current helmet. You could also set that as the home alternate as opposed to home if you wanted it to be just for special occasions.
Obviously this is just for PC, and even then it isn't going to be for everyone, but it is an option for those who want to explore it.Comment
