Any confirmation from the NCAA Football guys about developing the Gen 3 Madden?

In an interview with Dickson and Murray, one of them said that people from the NCAA Football series are working on the Gen 3 Madden. As far as who that is or how many is unknown at this time.

Bo, there's been no confirmation on who from the team is working on it at this time.

Yeah he was like the lead guy on NCAA for a long time, don't know if they kept him on though, but def. a good place to start.

              I tweeted him yesterday, but I didn't get a response. I wish this info wasn't so hush-hush.

I'm just not bothering with Madden again if they don't have cpu vs cpu. I'm tired of their crap, I didn't buy it last year for the first time ever. I'll just keep playing 12.

I understand your frustration. I almost did that last year until I read about the workaround. Granted, the workaround was very limited, but it was enough for me to go ahead and buy it. I even canceled my pre-order, didn't get it during the midnight release. I was that ticked.

Now if they have the workaround this year, it's enough for me to buy. I did enjoy it last year. Now if we don't get CPU vs. CPU in offline franchise and they fixed the workaround, I'll just trade it back in for another game.

Now here's the other kicker. Obviously, Madden NFL 15 for the Gen 4 will be obviously be more advanced than the Gen 3. The game play, graphics, etc. But how different overall? Some NCAA Football developers are working on the Gen 3 version. Who from that team and how many is uncertain, but will they ad their twist or simply just follow the guidelines? NCAA Football is famous for their CPU vs. CPU in Dynasty Mode, will they implement it in the Gen 3 Madden? Will they be allowed to do so? This is important for me because I'm getting it on the 360.

So many questions and it seems like the Gen 3 and 4 will be different other than the obvious reasons. No porting on this game.

I don't know what the work around was. Can you tell me and how did it work out?

You select 32 3rd string QBs in CFM. Make sure they are rated low. Turn auto-start off. This will make the CPU battle it on themselves. Now the setback is that the comp controls trades, releases, depth chart, and free agency so the only thing you can really do is watch the action.

When I tried it, the Pats kept releasing Edelman which was annoying me so this is what I did. Before I selected 32 players, I went to the menu screen, I ranked Edelman low, released him, and then resigned him to a new contract. Then I rated him back back. It's tedious work. but I did it.

If we don't hear anything at least a month before the release, then I'll be really annoyed. WWE games usually gives us all the info around the 2 month mark. No reason we should have to wait until the game is released to discover what's in and what's out.

That won't be the case for the Gen 4 game. As for the Gen 3 game? Yes, I agree with that. It's so hard to be patient when you're excited about a game. One option can make me happy or the omission of it will leave me disappointed. Like I said, it's a waiting game.

Still, we should be getting info in all consoles. Not just Gen 4.
