Y'all got my respect, seriously, for this video. I came to the Madden forums after being very happy for a few months in The Show section just to see what was going on. After not liking last year's game and being all but certain I wouldn't purchase another Madden, this effort convinced me that you guys are doing things right and deserve to be rewarded.

Just from watching the first ten minutes I can tell Rex wasn't lying when he said they read these forums. LOL This is really great sign. I hope those guys realize that other than a few trolls I would say most guys on here really want to help give feed back to improve the game. The more we see that they are listening the better the feedback will be IMO.

Will they ever make the game we all want. I don't know. It seems like they want a sim game though. Rex and Clint seem like the real deal.

For the love of football, this has to be the most impressive and informative Madden info release I've seen in a long time! This stream has gone a long way to change my hopes and perception of Madden and this Dev Team.

Now for CFM. It all boils down to CFM.

what i saw today would make buy this game if i were a head to head/ online player....

if they can do what they did today against the AI or show the cpu doing some of those things shown today, the game will have changed...

I saw things I like, I definitely saw improvements. I saw some things rear their ugly heads from years past, which is bothersome. But all in all, I like the direction the game is going, and I hope the dev team is allowed to keep improving. Good stream.

I have to say, that showing was pretty impressive. I saw alot of the improvements. The videos we have been seeing must have been from an earlier build. The buildin that video looked much more polished. I even saw the beginnings of some gang tackles. the graphics looked great, and the defense looked much improved. I like the direction Rex and his team are taking. Looking to the Future with optimism for the first time in a long time.

I also feel better about the guy on the right that helps test the game play. I feared he was more of an online cheese kind of player but, he seems like he wants the game to be realistic too. I think sometimes we get this perception that competitive tourney players don't want a more sim direction. seems like some actually do.

This right here ^. This went a long way for me. Don't insult our intelligence by lying and feeding us company lines. He did not do that, and I really appreciated it. Everything doesn't always work great, but the effort to make this game great again is there. How I am starting to look at this is that they basically squandered an entire generation of football gaming. Madden was a dump in a box for 8 years. The game they have built is probably what we should have gotten back in 2007. What's done is done and I am willing to move past that IF - they can really set the bar with the realism they want to instill in this game. I want to desperately retire my APF 2k8 disc. It's a fantastic game on the field, but if Madden can offer what that game had and do it even better, why would I want to play it? I don't care about exclusives, ill will, EA being evil. If Madden is a great game I will buy it and not care about other games. I am not really a "gamer". I only play in online leagues and I really only care about football.

That's a big one for me. I'm an offline/franchise player and I want to see improvements in CPU AI.
