The problem with 2k's morale system was backups and rookies would often get upset for not starting and have negative morale which wasn't very realistic. If this work's as advertised your backup QB won't lose confidence because he is not starting.

Ok, im just saying these features are nothing special or nothing that hasnt been done before, maybe they tweaked it a little but this has been around in other games for years and yet they are the biggest upgrades for CFM in Madden 15.

Tweaked at best. A few more players were added for True Step, but not the full 22 on the field.

Ok, im just saying these features are nothing special or nothing that hasnt been done before, maybe they tweaked it a little but this has been around in other games for years and yet they are the biggest upgrades for CFM in Madden 15.

They may be nothing special to you personally but many on here, myself included are very excited for the new features. Before in CFM there really was no system that would replicate a Josh Freeman type situation (falling from rising young stud to borderline backup) you just kept playing year after year with little to no change other than what you spent XP on. Before there was no risk/reward system for big games, winning a close game against a bitter rival meant just as much as losing by 45 points. The inclusion of one brings the game that much closer to the real NFL.

Valid point, but CFM has only been around a few years.

How do the upgrades compare to the last few years of CFM?

Heck, these might not be the biggest upgrades in the future for CFM, that's why I'm not beating any drum, yet. I need to see how it all works and know some upgrades might be more significant in the future, if it all works.

So in a nutshell for CFM they really just changed practice to game prep and adjusted the functionality of current features to work better and really just tried to clean up their work over previous years.

I know a lot of us say this every year, but maybe next year we'll be really blown away. It's the only thing I can tell myself without just throwing in the towel.

If the confidence addition works as advertised it will be a ground breaking addition unlike anything we have seen in most sport's games. Game Prep gives you the option to either boost a single players XP or Confidence but you can also work with an entire position group to prepare them for the game your about to play.

How is confidence "ground breaking" when it was in M25?

I'd love to hear how this confidence feature was in Madden 25. I sure as hell haven't been practicing with individual players and choosing to boost their XP or Confidence and having it actually affect their performance and the game.

They changed it from a trait to an attribute. Are we already pretending that it's "groundbreaking" just because it's in M15?

Isn't stating it to be "groundbreaking" a bit of hyperbole? Confidence was already in M25, how "groundbreaking" can it be?

To me, groundbreaking would be more dynamic depth charts, where you can specify slot vs outside wr positions so that I can always have R. Cobb in the slot.

To me, "groundbreaking" isn't providing something that was more or less already in the game the previous year.

Maybe confidence = Consistency and the just pulled a marketing 101 on us. I actually don't mind that they change the name of something and make it function better if thats what they did, but Im just not sure its an entirely new feature and they completely re-worked player momentum and removed Consistency.

What might be a slight exaggeration from some, could be an over exaggeration from others usage words and phraseology.

It's a matter of opinion at this point.

Let's just all see if it works as intended and advertised.

If it does, great, if not, time to ask why and why not.

I'm not on board with calling it "Groundbreaking" but I can't agree that what it is now, was in 25 as it sounded like you said. I think it adds a whole new layer to our CFM seasons and such.

I won't call it groundbreaking, but I certainly think, being the way it will affect the mode that it is certainly close. But then again, we won't know until the 26th or if EA Access rolls out to us Xbots.
