As sneaky as EA is. I doubt they would over look something like that where people could just disconnect their consoles from the internet and keep playing. ..

You probably can't play it unless your connected to the internet. No that I think about. Surprise I didn't think about it before. Are we able to play the vault games with out being connected to the internet.

If the game allows you to play while you download make sure you download/install the whole thing before you start playing, unless you want to burn your 6 hours playing the default matchup.

Also, the past two years I had the same program/subscription ( different name on 360, same program) to get early access to a digital retail copy of both NCAA Football and Madden and both had NO time limit on either game. I assumed this new, more expensive app/program would be the same way. It's no big deal really.....like I said, it's only $30. However, to some younger dudes working their way through school still, $30 could be a much bigger chunk of change......and if they're expecting for that cash to get them unlimited access to the new Madden, I can see it being a bigger issue. My main thing is, I can't think of a single good reason for EA to put a time limit on this, other than they are afraid of the game turning people off to the point they decide not to purchase the retail version outright. If that's the case, that is just sad and pathetic.......unfortunately, you can't put it past them.
I don't agree with the way EA handled things but it's not the same service at all. If you assumed it was then that's consumer error. There's a vault, 10 percent on games..not just dlc, and the HUGE difference is there is a 5 dollar option. I would almost bet that reason alone is why there is the 6 hour limit. I'm just ready to play my 6 hours and wait for release

I don't see any download info about madden 15 anywhere on my madden access app. Anyone know where it is?

It won't be available until tomorrow. To EA's credit a little, they gave me a full refund of my 30 bucks when I called to cancel my EA Access. Like the poster a bit before me mentioned, when you are signing up, there is NOTHING mentioned about limited time access when it is telling you what Access gets you....it just says you can try the game up to 5 days early. Pretty apparent why there was no demo this year....with EA Access they are essentially trying to charge you for access to a 6hr demo. In my opinion, EA should have made the 6hr limit MUCH more apparent in the sign up process. It appears they are intentionally keeping that piece from the consumer. Just my thought, but without FULL early access to the game (and future games) Access is not worth the money.

Actually the way the Xbox one works is when switching to another app it suspends the game in memory. I do not believe it runs in any way, it creates a save state in ram that holds it exactly as you left it ...

So while I will be checking to be sure we are not charged, I'm going to guess that switching apps essentially closes the game for the timing purposes.

I agree with a lot of what you said.

First of all, $30 is two good pizzas or 2-4 pairs of boxers or shoes or half a tank of gas, a cheap date, etc. I'm not itching for money in any way, but $30 towards anything you don't have value for is a definite loss.

Respectfully, I was disappointed with this EA Access thing. It seemed pretty cool and I was excited to get the game early and try it out. I stopped playing Madden when 2010 was released (I had grown tired of the play) and came back this past year for Madden 25. Other then the overpowered run game, I loved the game and liked the improvements! Naturally, I was (and still am) excited about 15; however, after I purchased my 30 dollar subscription today (I just REALLY got into FIFA after playing once, and now I'm completely bought in. But I mainly got it for Madden. Wanted to try to get into basketball game for the first time as well), I found out about the 6 hour limit on the EA Access twitter.

I have to say, I was thoroughly disappointed to hear this. Like so many, I had just assumed that the "Early Access" would be the same as the two years prior. It was my fault, and I took responsibility for it. But I also called Microsoft today and they gave me a full refund within 5 minutes. The customer care worker even asked me more about it (he said he doesn't play EA games), because they had high call volume with people calling in to cancel their subscriptions.

It's unfortunate. I think things could have been better on both the consumer's and the distributor's sides, but it'll be a shame if sells reflect the consumers disappointment in what was offered because 15 could very well be a great game.

The XB1 tracks the time you play each game, i assume there will be something server side checking this and when it gets to 6 hours the game will just lock out. The EA Access App won't have anything to do with it
