Everybody in a league has certain weeks where they just can't get on their console and play whether its an hour long game or 10 minutes for scouting and game prep. There is work and family responsibilities that keep people from playing during a given week and things like vacation, holidays, or illness that can force people to miss multiple weeks in game at a time. Last year people were already upset that they would basically lose the XP from Game Prep while they were away. Now they'll lose scouting points and fall even further behind?

No matter how you want to support the idea that its "more realistic", the bottom-line is that its just not conducive to keeping online CFMs full and competitive year-round.

If they at least added the ability to scout and do game prep online then maybe that could have at least softened the blow.

All in all, I just really don't understand why they changed scouting. The system last year was good and the only thing missing was combine results.
    Brza37 gets it!

When someone in a online CFM in on vacation or sick they're already at a big disadvantage by having the CPU play their games and losing XP (well at least losing control of who they want their XP to go to). Now they get the Triple Whammy of losing Scouting points too? That's just a really poor decision no matter how you slice it.

Perhaps if we could Scout online, then that would help some. However, Madden has never had a very user friendly website and I don't see that changing this year.

This is a more realistic scouting system then being allowed to pool all your scout points to use at anytime...Scouting is a competition in itself, and if you don't scout to your fullest ability, you lose out...
here's the way I see it, I play as a Head Coach in cfm, during the regular season no head coach is scouting college players or calling scouts saying give me a scouting report on player X. There simply isn't enough time to work on your game plan, study opponents, get your team better and scout.

If they want to introduce Scout of a cfm character to go along with coach, owner, and player then yes scouting every week would make sense.

It's not unreal at all, Chris Johnson was one of the fastest players his rookie year. What is unreal is if every rookie is faster.
