Re: Madden 16 Q/A thread
I was playing my franchise tonight. Yea I know ea said not to yet. But I've been enjoying this years version a lot. I had just beat the cardinals to go 5-1 on the season. But when the game was over it took me the the games main menu. This had happened before so I didn't think anything of it. However when I went to get back into my cfm it never loaded just endless minutes of watching the ball in the back ground rotate. Has anyone else expirenced this? I assuming the only thing I can do is load a previous save.NFL: Steelers
MLB: Buccos
NBA: Lakers
NHL: Pens
NCAA: Penn St, WVUComment

Re: Madden 16 Q/A thread
I have a few questions guys. Cause of having to work overtime 50 hours or more a week. I've only gotten in 3 full games since release day. So not fully experienced on the new mechanics
1. Whats the difference in L1 High throw vs tap to lob the ball like we always have when it comes down to deep plays. Reading some write-ups online it says L1 High throw is good on deep plays. But deep plays where for example my WR is going to run a streak and CB is in man tight coverage with no help up top. I usually wait to a good point I know the CB is gonna lose him and lob it with tap to the WR. Should I now be trying L1 to WR on these type scenarios. Or is L1 mainly for a jump ball type play?
2. When are you guys actually throwing low L2/LT vs possession or aggressive catch. I see now this year int's are easier to get throwing in tight coverage
3. What is the difference with the QB rollout things. Tap R2/RT in the QB drop back vs L2/LT to branch out of the QB drop back.
Lets say I see a big hole in the defense before the snap on a designed passing play and RG3 is my QB and I know I want to take it and run. Would I tap L2 or would I tap R2 and than proceed to hold R2 for the run and because of that big hole I saw before the snapComment

I've been hearing about things that make CFM unplayable... what are those things? Is it just the ridiculous impact that generated rookies have?Comment

Re: Madden 16 Q/A thread
If I am understanding correctly, we have 3 passing types in M16; hold the receiver button for a bullet pass; tap the receiver button for a lob; then double tap for a touch pass?
Anyone seeing a difference between the lob and touch pass?
I thought I saw better passes over LB's with the double tap, but not sure if it was an illusion of my expectation..Comment

Re: Madden 16 Q/A thread
If 99 speed is max why not have guys that ran low 4.2's at pro day or combine have 97-99 speed and adjust up from that. 4.3 95, 4.4 90, 4.5 85, 4.6 80, 4.7 75, 4.8 70, 4.9 65, 5.0 60
Its like madden coders think nobody can run a 4.2 to 4.4 but like 8 guys and everybody else is running 4.5 to 4.6's
Johnathan Joseph CB ran a 4.31
Darrius Heyward-Bey WR ran a 4.30
Jacoby Ford WR ran a 4.28
Marquise Goodwin WR ran 4.27
Dri Archer RB - 4.26
Chris Johnson 4.22-4.24
These guys above should be 97-99 speed and maybe a point or 2 off with age later in career.
Amari Cooper un simulcam tied with Kevin White who got credit for a 4.35 but Kevin White clearly accelerated more so they should have Amari's speed higher than it is.
Calvin Johnson - 4.35
Julio Jones - 4.39
AJ Green - 4.5
Deandre Hopkins ran a 4.57 at the combine which definitely isn't great at all but he ran 4.41 at his pro day and definitely doesn't get credit for the speed he has on MaddenComment

How can I make the coach stop challenging plays in Owner mode. Every time the AI challenges the play it ends up screwing me up"Don't ever underestimate the heart of a champion!"

Re: Madden 16 Q/A thread
Anyone else having the CPU not call timeouts late in games? Idk if this is happening often, as I've only had one real close game so far, but Cleveland was just driving down the field on me down 7 and didn't call a timeout (despite having 2) as the clock ran out... Anyone know?Comment

Re: Madden 16 Q/A thread
Hey guys,
Quick question that has bothered me for years in Madden....
What attributes make a player a good special teams player? I've been following the recent NFL roster cuts and I got to thinking about how teams will keep back ups that will never see the field on offense or defense solely for their special teams play. For example, the Eagles will probably keep Chris Maragos and Chris Prosinski as their back up safeties as opposed to guys like Ed Reynolds and Jerome Couplin who offer future potential at the safety position, but aren't sure fire special teams aces like Maragos and Prosinski.
I like to play as sim as I possibly can so each year I try to designate certain back ups/third stringers as my "aces" on special teams without any real attempt to develop them at their position. I usually look for speed and tackle ratings since that makes the most sense to me as far as kick coverage goes. But I'm wondering if anyone else has theories on what makes a player a good "madden" special teams ace? Maybe pursuit?
Or does it not even matter since special teams play is really just window dressing?Comment

Re: Madden 16 Q/A thread
Help please. I'm playing on the xbox 360 and am having some trouble. I'm in connected franchise and was hoping to see the combine scouting reports but haven't found any yet. Is that only for the xbox one and newer generation consoles?Comment
