Just updated the Falcons playbook based on week 1 film against the Eagles, accurate red zone run/pass ratio (35/65), and dramatically lowering passing plays to the TE (Falcons rarely ever pass to the TE and I was seeing way too much of it from the CPU).

I'm slowly but surely getting the hang of this. I feel like I'm getting better and better games out of the CPU with these playbooks!

Does anyone know what happens if I do this in Play Now mode:

1) use 2 controllers to assign to different custom playbooks for the 2 teams
2) start game (I play Coach mode) and play with one team for a while
3) decide to watch the rest of the game so pause game and change my controller assignment to cpu - now both teams are controlled by cpu

Do the team keep the custom books that they were assigned, or does the team that I was controlling, and now assigned as cpu controlled also, take on the book from the other team? Is there anyway to tell?

Yeah unfortunately the game will not allow you to continue if you started with control of a team and then switch to both in control by CPU. This was one of my the first things I tested this year. Kinda sucks.

But hey - at least the main workaround works just fine!

I should have noted, I am using Play Now when I do this....it does not work in CFM but does in Play Now.

Anyone doing a Vikings playbook? They have a new running scheme; running out of the shotgun frequently.

Anyone doing a Vikings playbook? They have a new running scheme; running out of the shotgun frequently.

I did one yesterday, and I did move a lot of the shotgun draws, traps, and zone plays up to first and second down after watching Monday's game. I kept a lot of the multi-TE under center runs as well, as I thought they might get back to it a little when after they get used to having AP back. I'd say it's around 85% gun and single back. Hopefully we can find a way to get it uploaded soon so you could take a look and let me know how close it is.

Long shot or maybe skipped to many pages, but anyone doing the Bears playbook? They stink this yr rating wise and i seem to always see the same plays from past maddens.

Starting on them tonight or tomorrow. Going to read up on Gase a little more at work today. I also watched them close since they played my Packers Sunday. Thinking a west coast style with lots of te involvement in the pass game and a lot of stretch and inside zone from forte. Let me know anything you think might help.

They target Bennett more in the red zone than any other TE in the league.

They target Bennett a lot everywhere. One of the first stats that caught my eye when I started looking at the Bears to do their book was that he had 90 catches last year. I had no idea he was even close to that.

Has anyone found a HB toss/pitch from the gun? I remember the packers had this a few games back and it was big on NCAA football.

If someone found one, please let me know... i'd lose it if they have it

Swagger, tonight after work I will upload my Ravens book that I adjusted and if you want you can edit the sets for all the formations. You can even change the plays if they run different ones than is in there now. Like I mentioned, I didn't research their actually sets in each formation or the plays they run out of them. I would just say if you replace a run or pass to replace it with the same type in order to keep the %'s accurate. I will also try to post my spreadsheet with all the information on it, but I don't know if I can post links. I anyone knows a work around for not being able to post links, let me know and I can get that spreadsheet out.
