Re: The Biggest Madden Patch Ever Arrives Today, New Mode and Various Bug Fixes

I played a few test CFM last night to see if the speed issue was really resolved. In my limited testing (3 CFM's) most WR's averaged between 86-91 speed, there was the occasional 95-97 guy but they were few and far between. CB's were a little faster with averages between 88-93. But overall I am not seeing as many 95-99 speed guys like I was before. In fact I didn't see a single WR or CB with over 97 speed in my 3 tests. The one guy who had 97 was a horrible CB but a great return guy.

Sorry..I guess I should have been more specific.

      Penalty Sliders?
      CFM or Play Now?

I ask because I am not seeing any of that and I played a good 5 games of CFM last night with the Bucs. Seems RE to get the right pass rush despite the ratings

Well, you would be wrong. I did read the whole list. But kudos on making a false accusation. The list looks good. That doesn't change the fact that XP sliders being ignored offline is very disappointing to me. XP Sliders being "online" only jumped out at me and I was surprised by it.

That was a nasty immersion bug. It works in year one fine but in year two it would just show zeros for everything every time they brought that stat comparison up and Jim Nance would be ripping you.
I'm in year 6, I noticed for the first time that it showed stats for back to back games. It was a nice little surprised, I just got use to hearing how "terrible" my QB was the previous week.

Bucky, it's also being reported that there is an area offline that it's locked out, so, don't know if that is for this patch or 17, I'm guessing for 17 as it is clear in the patch notes, online only.

Did they fix the IR bug with pre existing injuries in CFM?

I'll ask my buddy if he's updated and notices this. I'm waiting for the price to drop to pick it up.

If CFM would take the same movement toward realism that the gameplay team has been, it would make me pretty happy. I'm really curious to for next year to see what happens in 17. A more realistic CFM and I don't wait for a price drop. <crossing fingers smiley icon thingy>.

Well, you know Rex wants to go that way, and I think this patch is the start of it.(online, of course for XP sliders, confidence lowered, ect....

You can confirm it with your friend, but, pre-patch, there wasn't anything there, post patch, I just checked, and I can confirm it. I'm not saying it will be unlocked for Madden 16, but 17, perhaps.

Well, if you already confirmed that some XP slider is disabled, but there, for offline CFM, then I don't need to ask my buddy.

I don't believe Rex is involved in the CFM portion. So I'm not sure how much influence he would have. We will see what Kolbe and company do with CFM. Thanks for the feedback, but we both (me too) should probably be staying on the thread topic (patch notes).

I had only made a few tweaks to default All-Pro and with the patch I went back to pure default AP(except for penalties) and for my skill level and style of play I won't be needing to make any changes.

I feel like the CPU opponent plays much sharper now. Nothing has been drastically changed, but everything has been tight up, so to speak.

Do this today: Instead of $%*#!@& on a game you're not going to play or movie you're not going to watch, say something good about a piece of media you're excited about.

Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever.

Like many others, I am looking to restart my offline CFM now that the most recent patch has been dropped.

What is everyone’s preferred setup with the new patch in terms of tuners vs no tuners installed and 32 team control vs single team?

Thanks in advance for the feedback.

Awesome list of fixes. Awesome job Rex & Company, EA. Just awesome.

Can't wait to really get into it tonight.

That being said, add me to the list of disappointed folks that the XP sliders are not available for offline franchises. Guess I have to restart both of mine now that I was several years into and move them online. Really not a big fan of that. Oh well, the option is there at least.

All in all, this is a very pleasant surprise indeed.

Re: The Biggest Madden Patch Ever Arrives Today, New Mode and Various Bug Fixes

Rebooted my franchise last night. I deleted everything and reinstalled everything post-patch.

Everything felt a little more polished, but I didn't really notice a huge difference in gameplay. That was fine, because I was happy with it before the patch.

One bug I noticed that was there before the patch and still exists: I sacked Bridgewater with 38 seconds left in the game and the clock stopped. No timeouts were taken. The clock just stopped. It started again when the next play started.

I've only noticed it before on sacks, and it doesn't happen often. I play with injuries off, so I'm guessing it's a play where Bridgewater would have been hurt if they had been on, and the game still registered the injury timeout.
