Re: I've played ~40 hours of Madden 17: AMAlmost Anything
screw it, i'll spill the beans:
1) multiple broadcast teams
2) deeper espn integration
3) return of superstar mode
4) team builder + stadium editor
5) formation subs + defensive assignments
6) nfl combine drills
biggest one of them all:
7) return of real draft classesComment

Great. Another feature I was just enjoying on Madden 2008 PC a few months ago that isn't in a game nine years later. EA is just plain lazy.Comment

The code/systems they used coming into the PS3/360 era must be GOD AWFUL, if they're still using a majority of that stuff. Probably a reason why some of this "simple" stuff is so hard to add.
I totally understand them not wanting to start over and have a "repeat" of last gen, but if they built the game for authenticity, realism, and accessibility, I think most fans would be understanding of the lacking of features, if the game truly felt like a reboot. Especially with them having the exclusive....http://twitter.com/sageinfinite

I don't know if we can afford to have another "reboot" of the franchise at this point in the game though. While some of us, myself included would be ok with it if it meant more authentic gameplay there's a whole other side that isn't. We STILL haven't seen the game in motion yet but i am confident this will be the best playing Madden in years. They took good strides last year. As long as they continue to build on what they have I'm not going to complain. But maybe I'm part of the problem.

The madden community and understanding can never be used in the same sentence. You can't blame the developers from not wanting to reboot, some people are ready to get them over simple accessories missing.
Since mrprice took time off, this thread has gotten away from the point of the thread. Hopefully we can get back to the questions when he returns.Comment

With that said, hopefully some good blogs are released this week and Mr Price can give us some feedback.Last edited by SageInfinite; 05-22-2016, 11:37 PM.http://twitter.com/sageinfinite

Re: I've played ~40 hours of Madden 17: AMAlmost Anything (Answers in first post)
I don't think this has been asked but it's hard to scour every single page of this amazing thread, so if it has my apologies and please point me towards the correct page.
That said, with the talk of real ball physics and how it interacts with the tethered animations. If a ball is tipped per-say are the animations that then either catch it or intercept it more fluid with the physics or do you still get the occasions where a player will bend down or dive for the ball and catch it on the ground and it still be counted as a completion or interception, or does the physics kick in and it recognize it as a trapped ball and act accordingly?
I would be so happy if the latter is the case.Comment

You know, I didn't try this when I played it. I know why they have that restriction so I don't imagine it's going away anytime soon.Comment
