So with you confirming there is Cover 3 Liz, Mable, Skate in the game is the same true for the other coverages, Cover 4, or even like the Cover 7/8's in football. I'm not asking for a complete formation breakdown but seems they hit it on the nail with the details of pattern matching. There is a pattern match box formation used against Snugs/Tight formations or a 2 Read which is a split Cover 2/Cover 4. Not a Cover 6, the reads are different. Some names it might be called are Trap, Palms, Rolex.

Thanks in advance I know we are hammering you with questions

This ties into equipment. Can we set specific gear for cold and warm weather similar to how NCAA did it?

Have new WR/TE/RB option routes been added to counter the new zone defenses?

I'm not sure. It might be and we just never trigger it.

No worries, I'm glad to give back.

So, this question is suuuuuuper detailed and, while I appreciate it, the truth is, I don't remember really lol. I was specifically looking at the varieties of cover 3s and quarters. I have something special cooking for closer to release and I think we might be able to figure something out then.

There are a bunch of new routes in the game. I couldn't specifically point to option routes though.

I will say that they haven't yet packaged concepts in the playbooks. So slant plays are still both sides crossing to the middle of the field, as opposed to one side being slant and one side being something else.

Is the tackling animations in madden 17 more scripted or RTP? In your opinion which tackling animation system do you prefer and if theirs no more RTP should it be considered a failure.

Edit: Sorry if I'm asking a lot of strange questions but I'm trying to get back into madden so your answers are very important to me.

The tackling animations are similar to 16, with some additions. I'm not answering the second question.

Is pump fake the same? I feel they need to go back to being able to pump fake to a specific receiver to actually throw off a specific defender.

Do AI pass rushers rush at an angle that would force the user to step up in the pocket by forcing the offensive line to form a true pocket around the QB.

Were there quick juke moves like ones similar to madden 04 when you tapped the juke button.

I think you answered this question already but are defensive line moves broken down into tiers like say for example jj watt has his own specific moves due to his rating and no lesser rating player can pull of the moves he does.

With pass rush strip sack do you actually see the pass rusher reach out his arm to strip the ball or is it more based on contact.

Did defenders tackle bruiser backs differently then speedy backs like say for example tackling low on a bruiser back.
