Re: Madden NFL 17 Features Several Key Presentation Improvements

My favorite part of this is the real time presentation vs cut scenes, I've harped on this for some time, nice to see it touted. Time warps, as I refer to them, are very disjointing for me in any football video game and I feel the more areas where real time transition can be represented, the better for immersion. Also hopefully this eventually leads to personnel coming on/off the field in real time in the future, not only for the presentation effect but the strategic and realism of things like no huddle, too many men on the field, etc.

My question is, in M17, how far does this real time extend? For example, someone scores a TD, at what point does real time start and end, from then until the extra point, then the extra point to the kickoff?

But besides the point I can honestly careless about those intros or what ever else has pushed the limits, they are nice and I'm ok with them. It's just when they said that it rubbed me the wrong way
It's a pretty consistent thing in their design ethos and something that is likely not going away.

And, some people do want to see the game do things TV can't do ()

Just looking at the screens something still seems off with lighting and colors. Nothing really "pops" as far as colors go. Dome games do a better job of this but even in that Texans intro screen, I don't know if it's different because it's the intro cut but the colors look so dull and dark. Even in the Gronk close up his facemask almost looks like a pastel red rather than a vibrant red.

It's certainly not as long as TV but there is a healthy amount of time between the two. Keep this question in mind over the next couple of days.

What about simply having two or three options ? Replicate real tv broadcast angles, then extrapolate for Madden TV style broadcast.

              Presentation:
              (A) Madden TV
              (B) NFL TV Broadcast
              (C) Hybrid (Madden/Broadcast)

Oh yes, is there an option for replays to be present after each and every single play, for both offensive and defensive highlights, or even non-exciting plays?

Anyway, there's a lot of cool stuff in regular play-now presentation, but the really cool stuff is still to come.

The one thing i really hope they make realistic is the weather!!!!Like when you're playing franchise or play now& you're playing the Packers the only way it can be cold it's snowing...they need to do like NCAA use to be and let you control the temperature & heavy snow or light snow,as well as the rain or a scorching hot day in Miami !!!!!And take a page out of Mlb the show's book......how a day in september in Chicago is totally different than a day Oakland!!!!

I just hope they fixed the animation of pylon's falling down. It looks like it's direct code from Madden 98.

I like what I read but I'm hoping there are more blogs to come on presentation. Also am hoping since they focused on the coaches that we will get decent looking created coaches in CFM.

Can we at least get the created ones some headsets?

I don't post often here but I feel I have to say something. I came on here to see the feedback on the new presentation details and all I see is complaints about custom camera angles? There are bigger fish to fry with this game before custom camera angles! It's clear EA is attacking and improving "major" areas of the game that were not done very well in the past or at least up to par with the rest of the sports games out there. They were still behind the 8 ball with gameplay, presentation, and franchise mode up until last year where I felt it was finally somewhat of a complete game and actually functional to play and not get frustrated. What they've shown us so far is above and beyond what I expected this year and they still haven't even gotten to franchise stuff yet. And there's still details about presentation that haven't been announced yet. If you want custom camera angles that's fine, I think every complaint should be left out on the table for EA to see but let's not take it out on someone who takes time out of there busy day to give us extra feedback. Just about every sports game I've played including nba 2k and mlb the show leaves out features that people have been asking for years. No company or developer is perfect and neither is EA.

The starting lineup presentation look much better without those ridiculous over the top poses the Packers secondary was doing in that pic from a couple months ago. Wonder if those poses are still in for the secondary?

The latest tweet by Rex makes me think that's it for the presentation blogs.
