    Re: Madden NFL 17 Impressions

    Couple issues I've seen:

    <div style='position:relative;padding-bottom:57%'><iframe src='https://gfycat.com/ifr/LeanRealisticCrayfish' frameborder='0' scrolling='no' width='100%' height='100%' style='position:absolute;top:0;left:0;' allowfullscreen></iframe></div>

That's one of the most frustrating things I've experienced so far. I wouldn't say it happens all the time but it definitely happens way more that I'd prefer to see. It's nothing new but stuff like this shouldn't exist let alone be as common as it is.

    <div style='position:relative;padding-bottom:57%'><iframe src='https://gfycat.com/ifr/RareScaredBrownbear' frameborder='0' scrolling='no' width='100%' height='100%' style='position:absolute;top:0;left:0;' allowfullscreen></iframe></div>

This looks really bad but I haven't it noticed it in this capacity very often. There's still a lot of warping and suction in areas but it seems to come on go quite a bit. Some plays look and feel really nice then you'll get a few plays where everything is thrown out the window and something ridiculous happens.

I'm guessing that's a function of the OL awareness.

I have to say I LOVE the new 2nd and 3rd tab screens on player cards. Lots of information right at your fingertips.

Also look how #91 beats the center, in real life that rarely happens but in Madden something like this happens multiple times a game every game! Defensive linemen just throw offensive linemen around in this game like they are nothing, only few defensive players in NFL history can obliterate offensive linemen like they do in Madden. The #54 rush off the right end looked pretty good, it just does not happen enough in this game.

I see Mike Daniels of the Packers do that a few times on game day and in Madden a few times per game in Madden.

Anyone else not seeing the canyon size holes to run through against cpu, and even no defense at all playing contain on runs? I could run 200+ with Freeman easily, and have, just starting to ruin game for me. tried all kinds of settings: charters, armors, joshs, default AP, default AM, and a few others. Even did the reinstall on xbox. All test in Offline CFM with default rosters. Everything else about game awesome!

This is the type of stuff I can't stand about Madden. There are always game breaking bugs. I haven't seen this myself as I haven't played with scrambling qbs yet. Hard to trust a developer when this stuff always exists though. I've played a bunch of games now and feel like I'm just playing football at least. I'm playing on all pro and got picked apart by Winston running the ball playing as the bears and Drew Brees where i was the dolphins which felt pretty realistic. All pro in the past has been so easy. Still haven't seen a running game with any consistency although Matthews from Philly broke a couple huge runs against me and had 200 + yards. Still some wonky animations and interactions here and there.

I'm liking the improved stadium sounds and improved graphics. The colors and lighting are so much better. Some of the stadium sounds and music feels very immersive as well. One thing I don't like is I can't hear the officials though. I didn't buy 16 though after I gave up on this series. I'm liking this years.

Seems like I'm winning close games or getting blown out so far. Seems like it's football but hard to trust this game. I have no complaints overly. Amazing I even have to question these things and it took this developer this long to get to this point though.

I have it on rental from Red Box trying to test it as much as I can and really close to buying this years. I hope I don't make a mistake again.

Tired of excuses like it's harder to make football games etc. EA are supposed to be the best at this why they make this game. If it's too hard let someone else do it.

This years feels fun and really makes me want to give it another shot. Every year this game gets 8's or 9's from reviewers too and it doesn't deserve it. This year I feel like it actually is worth it for once mainly because of how they managed to slow the game down and it isn't turbo mode anymore and actually feels like a sim. Game breaking bugs and some things that happen make it hard to trust this game though.

Edit: Played another game to test good runningbacks Arizona vs Pittsburg(me) and David Johnson ran very realistically. Running definately appears better on allpro although depends on who you are going against. Weaker running games are pretty easy to shut down. I've played about 8-10 games and have had the cpu run against me for big yards twice. David Johnson and Philly with Matthews. Johnson was very realistic though and was just churning yards all game.

Anyone can do it in Madden, its a dice roll, also they don't get any push before shedding the block. Its like a stalemate, then after a few secs they completely break free. I wouldn't mind the block sheds if they at least got a push up front first.

Actually, on the DL, it's usually Daniels and Matthews in the games I'm playing, but do agree that it takes a few seconds before he breaks free.

Very rarely will a Letroy Guion or Datone Jones perform that move.

The funny thing is that I am seeing people say this and I don't think running is to easy. The canyon size holes is what I am seeing when the CPU runs the ball not me and also the CPU breaks tackles like ever one is AP if you play on default all pro.

I want to stay up for 24 hours on release day like I once did. I want to waste hours endlessly tweaking my team. I want to get through 10 years of franchise mode again, but it's just not there. I can't do it, it's just not a good enough experience.

                            I've built rosters for 2004, 2005, 2007, and 2008.

I think 2004 and 2007 have the most well rounded gameplay of the PC versions.

I halfway disagree. While changing the brightness did nothing for me, changing the contrast made it an entirely new game! Grass looks accurate in every stadium, white uniforms are finally WHITE...colors pop better than ever! Try out the 'higher' and 'highest' settings on contrast in-game, you'll notice a huge difference if your TV has been calibrated correctly previously.

It's really odd, running is impossible for me unless I'm using Dallas and their amazing OL.

                                Done test CFM games with...
                                - Dallas
                                - Oakland
