What's first when you turn on the game?

It's been a tradition of mine, going all the way back to Joe Montana '94 on Genesis, regardless of football title, to have my first game be San Francisco (me) vs Dallas. Our rivalry was the stuff of legend in those days, and even though it seems like a lifetime ago now I still start with the same matchup.

I try to alternate which team is home / away each year, and if memory serves I get to play it at Dallas this year.

After that I'll hit up the skills trainer.

Straight into the Ravens franchise mode. I like to jump in, instead of skills trainer, as it makes it harder in the beginning while figuring things out. Before a single game, I'll do my best to trade for as many former Notre Dame players as I can w/o reshaping the NFL landscape.

With only 10 hours ea access, I always do some skillz training. Specifically, this year, I want to go through the running drills to feel the new controls and get an idea of the timing for different moves. I think, then, just some play now. I may wait until reg season starts in real life to make sure rosters are good before I start dirty bird franchise. I like your idea of rocking the 02-05 birds, but for me, my fav Falcons team is 1991, actually. Young Primetime, Tuggle, Scott case, and Tim McKyer. Andre Rison, Michael Haynes. I absolutely loved that team. The old red gun offense with Chris Miller. Or, maybe I'll sub in Favre!! Lol. He was on that team. His ratings wouldn't technically be too good as he struggled a little back then. But, it's funny to look at that old roster and see that. Possibly worst trade in Falcons history (hindsight is 20/20) giving favre to packers the next season, I believe. But, that was the MC Hammer 'too legit to quit' Falcons, man. Lol. Loved that team. I always start with a play now game, just to get a feel of new mechanics and try out new additions to the Cowboys. Then, I'll probably go over to the skills trainer or practice field and practice the new mechanics some more. Then, maybe some quick slider adjustments and then CFM time!

as i am offline coach cfm then pick playbook with formations i like, then customize then i can formation sub after i start a franchise

I fire up a few dummy CFMs and run some sim stat tests / check out injury rates for simmed games / CPU roster logic / etc...

I will most likely start with skills trainer and then do a MUT untill Armour & Swords Madden 17 sliders come out then Ill dig into franchise

Nice, what do you usually look for in regards to stats and injuries?

I look at how many QBs throw for 3k, 4k / TD and INT numbers / Comp % / Sacks taken / OL Sacks given up...

Total carries and yardage totals for HBs

Catch / total yardage and YPC for WRs

Tackle / Sack / INT numbers

Total O and D / Passing and Rush numbers for both sides, etc...

With Injuries, I run a few tests at 50 / 60 / 75 and see what looks / feels the most realistic...

I also keep an eye on last year's IRL stats and general stat trends for comparison...

Going to go right into the Skills Trainer to get used to all the new game play features. After that will probably play a quick match Cowboys vs Giants and then go to sleep since it will be late. When I wake up I'm going to start a Falcons CFM as a coach. Not sure yet if I will use the current coach or create a new one.

Jump right in to MUT and play some solo challenges to get a feel for the new controls and what not.

Same thing I do every year, checking to see if there are any new classic/alternate uniforms added. Being disappointed when there are none.
