Re: Madden 17 Everything Playbooks (custom) for the CPU or user
Create a 2nd profile on your ps4 (or use another profile if you already have more than 2.)
Once you're on that profile, download a custom playbook.
Switch back over to your main profile. Go to your CFM. Create a new PLAYER on the TEAM you're playing against that week in your franchise (click on Right Stick). Make him an ACTIVE QB. Choose the team's 3rd stringer (or whatever is lowest - the idea is: you DON'T want him playing).
***IMPORTANT: MAKE SURE YOU CLICK INSTANT STARTER OFF***
Then switch back over to your team. Start the game.
On the controller select screen, turn on a 2nd controller. Make sure it's connected to the 2nd profile (the same one that downloaded the custom playbook).
Slide the 2nd controller over to the opposing team. Choose the custom playbook for them.
Launch the game. The CPU should use the custom playbook and as long as the other quarterbacks don't get injured, your game will play perfectly with the CPU using much better play calling.
I don't own 17 yet (picking it up in a few hours) but from what I've heard, this process SHOULD work. I'll test later when I can.
There is a button to "change profile." When I clicked it gave me option to add profile or create guest account. I tried a different gamertag and it said it was associated with my account so I could not use it. If I am doing it the right way, how do I create another profile that is not tied to my account? So I went with the guest account option, which it created immediately. I then went to community to download the playbooks. I then switched back to main profile and started CFM. I am playing as Cardinals. My next game is against Chargers. So I created a 3rd string QB for Chargers (no instant starter). He is 3rd on depth chart so I assume active. I then went in to game and activated 2nd controller. But when I tried to assign Chargers playbook, it was missing along with the other playbooks I downloaded. But the playbooks were present for the Cardinals controller. The message above says make sure 2nd controller is tied to 2nd profile. How do I tie it to 2nd profile as once you are at playbook select screen there is no option to change a profile? I would love to get these to work correctly but need community guidance. What am I doing wrong?
Also, in Play now, whenever I try to use custom playbook for Cards when using custom playbook for opponent, I get message that custom playbook is corrupt for Cards. But when I play without 2 custom playbooks, the custom playbook is not corrupt.
Thanks guys!Comment

Re: Madden 17 Everything Playbooks (custom) for the CPU or user
Has anyone gotten this to work in CFM? I am a bit of neophyte and cannot get things to work. Silly question but how do I create a 2nd profile? Are you talking about a gamer tag or another CFM player? In the front end of the game, I have a Madden profile but no idea how I created it. There doesn't seem to be a way to create another Madden profile.

When I say create a 2nd profile, I'm referring to doing it in your playstation front menu.
Here's a link that should walk you through doing it.Comment

Re: Madden 17 Everything Playbooks (custom) for the CPU or user
Try using shot plays with no check downs like max protect and wr you want as primary target as that gets my CPU ai throwing deep passes to who I want.
Also, deuce I'm almost done with chargers. I started last night as I wanted to try a different approach (easier). I deleted every play and started from scratch and was selective. I still got 100 1st down plays but better than 150-200. So it did help. Then I rate stars in categories in situations like this to seperate.
- play action - 1 star
- runs - 2 star
- passes - 3 star
- screens- 4 star
- draws - 5 star
When I'm done with that I'll pick out best passing and running plays in a situation and rank them. Let's say I have a passing team that likes to pass on 1st down 60% of the time. I'll put 6 best pass plays (for easy example) and 4 runs or 14 pass, 6 run at 5 stars. Same for 4 stars. On 3rd and long I might have 7 pass plays rated 5 stars to 2 draws with 1 screen. Same for 4 stars etc.
It's tedious but gets good results...
Edit: also 1 note. I'm only using shotgun run plays with zone run or draw or dive. I'm not using base, stretch or anything else. I went and tested this vs zone and man defenses and the CPU never got a gain except 1/10x with base run. So I suggest just using the zone run out of shotgun as the CPU gets good blocking and is more effective out of it. In single back or I form tosses work well. The stretches not so much but I still sprinkled them in to make more realistic.Last edited by vannwolfhawk; 08-26-2016, 01:51 PM.Basketball Playbooks

This is awesome! Can't wait to try! Are you going to do any others?Comment

Re: Madden 17 Everything Playbooks (custom) for the CPU or user
Yeah I'll do at least 2-3 others. Next one I'll do is a VERTICAL ATTACK (New Orleans style) playbook.
Let me know how the Balanced Attack playbook does. I have a hunch I need to sprinkle in more PA shot plays, but I feel good for the most part.
Huge tip: if you're playing on All Pro or lower, be sure to bump CPU Run Block up to 60. Makes a HUGE difference.Comment

Sorry if I've missed something, but is there any way to use custom playbooks for CPU teams in CFM using 32 team control?Tennessee Volunteers

Now I'm not sure about PA 1 star?
teams use PA alot, I know we are just testing things out but let us know how often you see PA being called w/ 1 star.

Re: Madden 17 Everything Playbooks (custom) for the CPU or user
No, what I mean is I categorize them 1st before placing stars. That way I distribute a certain play, playactions, draws, screen plays, run plays, etc in to each star. Make sense?Basketball Playbooks

Re: Madden 17 Everything Playbooks (custom) for the CPU or user
What player do you take over if the CPU only has 2 Quarterbacks. Turned instant starter off but the back up QB is the field goal holder and that that means I have to take control of the CPU kickComment
