Guys don't take all the 4 verticals out, leave some in and the cpu will take more deep shots. We just don't want 4 verticals to become predictable on 3rd and 4th and longs

Speaking of verticals....I'm testing my Vertical Attack playbook right now. I used the Saints playbook as a base and included some Air Coryell and Mike Martz philosophies. So hopefully it's a fun experience.

A lot of those plays the CPU will not make the pass at all and 9x out of 10 it's a sack. I left the 4 verts in where they had slight slants to them but they still wouldn't pass. For some reason the shot plays are the ones they throw deep.

Another play that results in a sack or a throw away 9x out of 10 is curl flats.

By the way here is a link I found with a few good tidbits for team defensive schemes. Anyone got anything else? I'm thinking a team like Seattle and Atlanta can use the same book as they run the same scheme.

Also, if anyone is interested I can upload all defensive playbooks I did for every team. What I did was deleted all cover 0 plays and every play is rated a half star so you will see more diversity in playcalling. I also did all the audibles to eliminate cover 0 blitz and I replaced it with a zone blitz or cover 1 blitz. There is no schemes per team with these outside of the teams in the OP. But you could take those team defenses that are done already and apply them to any team. The cards and steelers have a unique defense with blitzing but you could apply to a team that also runs a 3-4. I'm doing Dallas and their cover 2 scheme next.

I'm happy with it so far. I'll add more variety when I update it later...but there's a lot of fun stuff in there.

Just finished a game against Big Ben who threw for 300+ with it. Really spread the ball around to this top 3 WR + TE nicely. It was a LOT of FUN!

Who says the CPU doesn't go deep?

In week 15 against BUF and Tyrod Taylor keeps firing shots to Sammy Watkins trying to test the CB covering him. This is with their default playbook too

Great to hear. I was wondering if we just apply a defensive pb to the cpu team (cause I only play offense and sim defense), do we still do the 3rd QB work-around - or cause pb is defensive, do we need to choose a 3rd sting DT, for example.

thanks and I will check out your book. How does it affect sim stats (like if you would play defense two quarters and super sim two quarters) with edited book ? I think last year it really messed with run/pass ratio.

It blows my mind how they don't let you pick custom playbooks in franchise for the opposing team. Or even work on play calling like you guys have in the past couple weeks.

Do the 3rd string QB workaround - you can edit both the CPU's offensive and defensive playbook to whatever you want.
