Whats up with the SOFT TACKLE SOUNDS???

It seems like the PS4 version there are no tackle sound fx when you pop or stick it to a player...its like a silent cream puff collision of missing sound.

The snap of the ball has the normal pads and contact sounds but when a ball carrier gets hit in the open field there is no satisfying crunching of the pads or helmet on helmet or grunting or opppmmmh! as the player makes contact with the tackler. Its just a silent marshmellowy nothingness that leaves me scratching my head with a dissatisfied and missing feeling

Sounds pretty loud to me, remember they are also mimicking an NFL broadcast, on tv the tackles don't sound that loud either

I will agree with this. I'm on PS4 and the tackle audio leaves a lot to be desired. It could be a bug, but I have nothing to compare it to.

Sounds pretty loud to me, remember they are also mimicking an NFL broadcast, on tv the tackles don't sound that loud either

I dont agree with this at all......even on a tv broadcast, you can hear the pads and the helmet to helmet hits when a player makes full on contact with the ball carrier. in Madden 17 I dont hear anything. Its like its missing the sound fx for the tackles. Even if you goto the sound options and change the mix audio from broadcast to custom and turn Sound FX all the way to 100 and everything off, its unbalanced.

The sound fx of the Line of Scrimmage pads hitting are loud and clear at the snap, but when theres a tackle or a sack, there's barely any sound

They need to patch in the ommmphf, grunt, and pads/helmet contact sound fx to simulate the full contact sport!....this is embarrassing for EA.

It makes the gameplay feel incomplete when you square up your safety and come in to stick it to the ball carrier coming thru the lane and there is absolutely no sound of impact!.....I cant be the only one that feels this way?

Sure you CAN hear it on a tv broadcast but I don't think its that substantial. Not compared to the snap of the ball.

If they were trying to mimic a broadcast, why do players make those stupid breathing noises every juke. I never hear that unless its sounds fx

Love it. I'm so glad they eliminated that ridiculous subwoofer bumping thump. It was so long overdue, although i felt it was way tuned down last year. This year sounds perfect.

There must be different sounds for different systems...cause I dont understand how some people are saying it sounds perfect this year and then others like myself, dont hear anything at all on hits......something must be wrong

I just tried it out on PS4 and I can hear the tackling. It's not as loud as in the past but it's there.

Very odd.....I just went into practice mode and I played there because there is only the field level sound fx with no crowd so you will clearly hear all the sounds after the snap and the grunts and pads sounds where there when you snap the ball but when the ball carrier gets tackled theres nothing, not a groan, not an ooomphh, not a pads to pads sound,,,,,,no impact sound fx whatsoever.....Im wondering if I have a special copy of the game???


should I redownload the game?

I tried changing the Volume settings from Broadcast to On the FIeld and even tried the custom settings trying to focus on the sound fx. Nothing has fixed this.....

I agree this is something that's been missing in Madden for awhile u make big stick or hit and no sound to go with it.

They should atleast make controller rumble and shake...if no sound.

Last game I played my mlb stuck the rb with huge hits causing fumbles and nothing.

I have d/l ps4 version.

I just tried a game with all volume on 0 except field sounds. The hit noise for the tackle is mostly missing. Sometimes its hard to tell as the blocks create a "thwack" at the same time. But yes, tackle sounds are missing or accidentally too quiet from in game in PS4. Shame.

Even on HUGE hits that look big, no sound...? Breaks the immersion.
