Well they are doing this because they can. They may not intend that but it's the reality. If there was a NFL2K18 or a NFL Gameday 18 putting out videos, I can guarantee you we would see something.

Actually, it's quite the opposite. I know a lot of people are going to wait on reviews, and videos to purchase this game.

I think that this is right. But videos or not, by next weekend we will all know whether EA was slow playing its hand or hiding the game.

Also a good point. By and large i would guess that the vast majority of folks clamoring for videos are committed fans who are day 1 buyers.

Actually, it's quite the opposite. I know a lot of people are going to wait on reviews, and videos to purchase this game. They may feel that it's creating more demand, but I know a lot of people that might pass on Madden this year if it doesn't meet expectations, including myself.

If people want to wait on principal or whatever the reasons are, if you are a BBGC member, 23 bucks is hard to pass up just on principal only. That is, if people still have 17 on the shelves.

I just find it difficult to put a percentage on it either way, no matter where you stand.

We're all here in a football video game forum so yes 99% of those complaining will still buy on launch day because they love playing football video games and there is no other choice for updated football video game. the monopoly on this product is bad for us as consumers.

I too wish we had multiple NFL games. Yet another reason to hate the NFL IMO. It's a good thing it's such a strong product but even now it's showing vulnerability with ratings dropping nearly 30% from some of what I've read.

I wish we had multiple games for every sport. Including college football

I will say this, as someone who has taken advantage of the Best Buy deal the past couple of years and now with a newborn at home, I'm not enticed to buy it because the Best Buy deal is only valid between 8/6-8/19 and as of right now I've seen no real info that tells me to trade in my copy of 17 and pre-order 18. There's no way I would pay full price for a game, I never do. Unless I am alone in my situation, I feel the lack of info has hurt them in my case.

Noble stand, but you are still indirectly supporting them. The only way to truly not support them and to make a solid stand is to not purchase M18 at all......which very, very few are willing to do.

Quite true, despite it's short comings, of which there are many that I personally would like to see fixed (locomotion/bent knees anyone?) - I cannot foresee myself NOT purchasing Madden 18 at some point.
