OVR in Madden is used for two things....

1) Depth Chart positioning

2) Player Contracts

These guys have signed new contracts and since the OVR drives contracts, naturally it must increase/decrease per the formula, for their pay to be in line with their new pay.

Don't know what the thread is for if something else is trying to be highlighted.

Wouldn't Paea's increase come from the fact he would have moved from 3-4 DE to DT between M17 and M18?


Also, are these raw OVR from the main menu and subject to change as soon as you enter CFM and the coach scheme archetype kicks in?

so if a player isnt on that list for a team then their rating is the same? wow and theres me thinking Sherman tanked last year, plus he got older

I wish ea would look at how progression/regressuon has happened in their year to year games and create a system in the game that gets those kinds of results.

This doesn't make any sense because there's no need to bump their overall for a pay day they already got. You would only need to do that if you were trying to get the CPU to offer a larger salary to them, which isn't the case.
