NYJ has not been uploaded. Sabo recommended using DEN instead.

Just uploaded them.. watched the all 22 against Miami and they pretty much running the same stuff Denver did last year with 2 back sets/twins/motion to determine coverage/bootlegs off of zone... essentially Gary Kubiak offense..

      Sorry for the delay

Has anyone used the Chiefs playbook? It was strange the Chiefs passed 9 times and didn't even run the ball once on their first drive. I truly love the playbooks & respect & admire the hard work. Just was wondering if anyone as seen kind of the same? Or it might of been a fluke thing. I'm playing on All Madden as well, not sure if that will make the CPU play calling more aggressive.

Could be that specific team's scheme. I would play them a few more times to get a complete picture of run/pass ratio.

Re: Sabo's Madden 18 Completed CPU Gameplans Project

Hey Sabo, I used these books last year and they were excellent. I wanted to DL them again this year as a base and make a few tweaks, namely sprinkle in Curl flats, four verts, and zero blitzes. Any way you would recommend adding them so that they're only used sparingly? I just couldn't imagine playing certain teams without the threat of 4 Verts or a zero blitz, and am very unfamiliar with the gameplanning feature.

            Thanks!

Incredible how much time some of you guys invest into this game to get it enjoyable. Wish I had that kind of dedication -- or free time!

Re: Sabo's Madden 18 Completed CPU Gameplans Project

Thank you very much, Sabo, this makes Madden feel like another game, it's awesome.

I have just one minor gripe: The run/pass-ratio seems a bit unbalanced. I've had most teams throw the ball up to 70% of the time, even when not trailing. The real life average is 60% (https://www.teamrankings.com/nfl/stat/passing-play-pct) with teams between 45% (Buffalo) and 69% (Arizona).
It does take away a bit of that "unpredictability feature" your gameplans evoke, as most of the times I'm out there in some kind of nickel formation, and also CPU rushing hardly gets to 100 yards (which is about the average per game IRL).
I wouldn't ask you to rework all those gameplans, so I'm just asking if you could point out to me, up to how many stars I should raise the running plays in those gameplans on 1st/2nd downs to get that ratio down to 60%. I've already tried 1 1/2 stars instead of 1 star for one playbook (CIN), but it didn't really change anything (granted it was only 1 game). So what do you suggest?

Only thing I would suggest is going with 3 stars and see if that works for you... really hard to find a perfect balance because you CPU doesn’t really have a way to become conservative and run the clock with a lead.. which is really when most teams run the ball nowadays that skew the % closer together

Re: Sabo's Madden 18 Completed CPU Gameplans Project

Alright, I'm confused. I just started using these and had the crash issue when trying to play against Cincy, which resulted in me combing through this forum for the fix. Thing is, when I go into the Cin PB that I downloaded it only has two formations: shotgun and singleback, which alone doesn't seem as though it would offer much play calling variety, but if I deleted one, as has been suggested to prevent crashing, it would really make them one-dimensional.

Did I download the correct playbook?

Also, when I used these the first time (NYG without incident) I took control of a 48 rated TE4 instead of QB3 and when I retired him after the game, he did indeed Retire. So now I'm scared to try it with QB3s for fear of having a severely depleted pool of QBs. Any suggestions?

Don’t delete the entire formation, just remove one of them for example “asingleback - ace bunch”

As for the retirement part, I’ve never had a player actually disappear... maybe had them released but not retired...

These are fantastic. I'm actually amazed at how well this crappy game plays with these and Kings settings. Love this.

This combo is the only thing that makes this game playable. Sabo is an effing guru w/ playbooks.

Absolutely. There is no way to properly express how useful these are.
The topper is how King is able to get at least a semblance of a cpu run game without dinking with sliders.

Even "pocket" guys play smart, instead of like they have been huffing glue all morning.

I've thoroughly enjoyed being caught off gaurd by the cpu play calling. 4th and goal from the 7, last play of the game down 4, all I could do was watch as Carson Wentz walked into the endzone on an option that completely blew my mind.

These, and this sabo guy, are truly unsung.
