The "suggestions" do need seem to depend on the playbook or game plan, but instead, are based on the team's run/pass preferences.

      Question-

Will editing a team like the Falcons to have/call more pass plays where Julio is the primary receiver, result in him being targeted more?

I've been getting frustrated with the CPU's lack of attempts to push the ball to start receivers. Everyone plays like their Tom Brady even if they have Julio matched up against some scrubs.

Re: Simulation Football Playcalling 18: Fixing the CPUs Predictable Gameplans

Shortly after my last post, I decided to run another test game SF vs. MIN, using Sabo's offensive and defensive Playbooks. It seems like the dink-dunk game was an anomaly, as I suspected it might be. The Vikes were mixing up play calling well, and in this game, the script was flipped. They absolutely dominated time of possession, and I think offensively, they ran over 70 plays. Bradford was varying his throws, short, medium, and a couple of completed passes downfield. I believe he finished the game with a 64% completion percentage. I had an epic comeback in the 4th quarter, scoring 22 straight points, and had the opportunity to win the game in the final seconds with a two-point conversion, which I couldn't complete! Vikings ended up winning the game 33-32. Kinda like last week's preseason game!

          Sabo,

Any new offensive playbooks to test? Would love to see a 49ers playbook when you have a chance!

          Cheers!

It's not that it is harder, but it does feel more like playing a smarter AI that calls a variety of plays.

if I 32 team control do I need to create a 3rd QB to assign the custom playbook to one of the sides? Or will the game expect me to play O and/or D on the second controller as a team owner?

              You have 2 options.

              1. Create 32 characters set the other 31 to auto for resigns, drafts, etc. No 3rd string qb needed.

              2. Create only your character, and create a 3rd string qb prior to each game.

In this scenario, can I set the custom playbooks for each of the 31 other teams as their "scheme" and never have to do it again or will I still need to use a 2nd controller and switch playbooks before every game?

I don't have 18 but I know in 17 you could not assign custom playbooks as the default for the teams as the scheme. it would need to be done before the games. you can set the schemes to other non-custom books within the team schemes in 17. Don't know about 18.

no, and they need to let us do so. I do not think they are intelligent enough to allow the game to not freeze up if you change scheme that way in CFM.

The formation subs arent sticking for me. I tried the way you explained and when I assigned the playbook using the 3rd string QB, the formation subs didnt stick. Any idea why?

I think only defense subs work.
