Kaepernick in Madden 18

Does anyone know why EA took out Kaepernick's tattoos and cadence from this years game?

Tattoos probably belonged to an artist they couldn't get rights to use. My guess on the cadence is that they figured not a lot of people would use him (even then...). Seems like the sport is trying to forget him altogether.

It makes him seem very generic in this game. Madden 18 has so many issues and it feels like an incomplete game all because their main focus was on Longshot

EA Madden actually did get the rights from the artist to use Kaepernicks' tattoos.

The cadence part is interesting, not sure why it would be removed. Same thing happened in M16 with Tebow I think, maybe once a guy is no longer a starter they drop it, for some reason?

Be nice if at least EA would add more generic cadences, so 90% of the QBs don't sound the same.

I edited all his stats to 0. I don't want that disgrace in my game. I will do the same to any player that refuses to stand for the National Anthem.

Ehh, leave the guy alone. I'm sure he took the time to do the same for Michael Bennett, Marshawn Lynch who sat. And then did the same for players like Josh Brown, Joe Mixon, Greg Hardy last year and Ray Rice (in previous Maddens) who have issues with domestic violence. I'm sure his outrage isn't just limited to standing for the anthem.
