I did notice since the HDR update that when on the title screen with Brady, it will look dark for 5 - 10 seconds, then it will flash and look incredible for about 5 seconds, and then flash back to how it looked before looking incredible. Does anyone else notice this?

Madden 18 and HDR
I have a Samsung KS8500 65in and an Xbox One S, along with Madden 18. My TV is fantastic and HDR looks great on apps, movies, and other Xbox games. However, with the Madden 18 HDR update, the game got noticeably dim. I was able to alleviate that with the Contrast and Brightness settings in the game's settings, but it still doesn't look as it should imo.

Re: Madden 18 and HDR
I get the EXACT same washed out look. When I launch the game it looks amazing for 10 seconds, then flashes and I get the dim washed out look during then load/launch.
Known issue, there was another thread about 5 days back detailing the same problems. I have a Sony 65x850c.
Don't let anyone tell you "that's what hdr looks like".. Because I have other hdr content that is amazing but Madden is awful.. Awful. -

Re: Madden 18 and HDR
I am kind of a nerd for calibration and nothing I could do would make the game look good. I ended up turning off HDR in the xbox menu when I play madden. NBA 2k18 demo looks great in HDR, as well as 4k HDR Guardians 2 (played through the Xbox).Comment

You have a 75x850c ? I have spent (literally) 10 hours trying to troubleshoot this... Please, what are your settings (PM is fine) for the HDR picture, and do you have everything set to AUTO for your inputs?
No matter what I do, my game looks washed out and terrible. The major difference is in the grass compared to yoursComment

I know, it looks terrible. 1pm, I believe clear weather for mine. I really want to see your settings, I'm assuming you are not sitting at default hdr, that you have changed the picture settings?Comment

Re: Madden 18 and HDR
Also, I even Googled Madden 18 graphics and looked at all the images released by EA leading up to release and not a single field is that green, including Pit. I also looked back at the Photographic thread here on OS and not a single one of those stunning pics has a field that green.
So in conclusion, considering DaReals pic was taken off screen, I just believe it was the camera used that has it appear that green. Unless there is something to it...Comment

Re: Madden 18 and HDR
Ok. Dareal's pic looks good. I have a pretty high end Samsung ks8500, basically set in torch mode and still the greens in the field don't look anything like that pic. I tried different picture modes etc and nothing. For this particular game I did set Contrast and Brightness in the in game settings to "Highest" and it makes a slight difference from "Default". Slightly more vibrant and I'm happy with that. My field under those settings @ Pit, 1pm, clear look somewhere between both of your pics you've posted.
