What features would you want to pull from others games?

It's that magical time of year where video games are at the peak of their release. With that being said, I would like to hear from the community what features from any other game you would like to see implemented into Madden.

Anything from character personalities similar to Shadow of War

    Customization like Sims

    Historical teams like 2k

    Just use your imagination!

Four things I'd want from the MLB: The Show series:

    1. A "Sounds of the Show" type feature for menu and stadium music.

    2. Year-to-year saves for Franchise and roster files

    3. Multiple TV presentation packages

    4. Classic stadiums (Candlestick Park, Texas Stadium, pre-2003 Soldier Field, etc.)
MLB: San Francisco Giants, Oakland Athletics (Sell The Damn Team, Fisher!)
    NFL: San Francisco 49ers
    NHL: San Jose Sharks
    MLS: San Jose Earthquakes
    EPL: Brentford FC

RIP San Francisco Deltas | 2017 NASL Champions

How about they don't worry about adding features and just worry about making a good game of football for people to play, like they used to do. No features, no gimmicks just plain old football.

I liked how NCAA would give you the number of each skill position player that was going to be on the field for the upcoming play, instead of just 2 RB 1 TE 2 WR etc.

I also like their custom playbook layout where you could choose which order each play showed up in

For superstar mode/connected franchise as a player.

Please overhaul the XP system, specifically with HOW it's earned. Copy NBA 2K18's system.

Examples of where it currently falls short:

-As a receiver I get open, or beat a press, but the ball isn't thrown to me. In real life I'd get a positive grade each time I do this, even if I don't get thrown to... In nba 2k18, you get XP for playing good basketball, even if you don't score.

            - As a corner, I cover my man and allow 0 catches in a game. No XP earned.
            - I swat down the only pass that was attempted my way in a game, no XP for not even allowing pass attempts my way.

            - As a linebacker, I cover my gap but don't get the tackle. In real life I'd get a positive grade for doing my assignment. No XP earned.

            - As a tight end, I get a seal block on a stretch play. No XP earned.

-As a safety, they don't throw to my zone the whole game. No XP earned.

-As a running back, I stay in to pass protect and pick up a blitz. No CPU earned.

-As a quarterback, I check down to a dump off when they run a quarters coverage, no bonus for hitting the right routes vs the right coverages.

They need to revamp the "off ball" system. There is one football for 22 players on the field at a time, yet the only way you earn XP is by touching the ball or tackling the ball carrier.

They need to revamp the offensive and defensive line HUMAN vs HUMAN interactions and mechanics, similar to the WR vs CB mechanics this year. Maybe some of you wouldn't be excited to control a lineman and shut down a great pass rusher, or get a reach block to the second level... But to me that sounds really fun.

If they could do this and copy NBA 2K18's XP system they could expand MUT squads to maybe 5v5 or more. Also, they need to expand the multi-player to regular franchise, not just MUT. Playing with real players that do not really play for the team does not interest me in any way. It would be fun to play Squads with him the real teams..

I've wanted exactly what pimpycraig has just posted, for years. It will never happen because for every "off ball" example you've listed, I have no confidence the game actually understands what's happening.

2K has a mechanic for everything. There is so much going on during every possession that you actually do have control over that it really works nicely with 2K.

Madden is 22 bodies running around like crash dummies.

Bring back online rushing attack from the Madden 05/06/07 etc. days.

That was a great tool to "warm up" and it was the best tool available to practice your running skills against actual people.

It even helped you learn how to deal with people who let the CPU tackle.

Re: What features would you want to pull from others games?

I want the game to remember things that happened in the past in both games I've played and also my franchise and bring those things up in-game. I'm imagining the nemesis system from Shadow Of War with respect to remembering and delivering content based on my prior in-game actions, but applied to a radically different context.

Example: suppose I'm the Titans and I'm playing against the Texans. Let's say I've lost my last eight games against the Texans over the course of several seasons. I want the game to remember that. I want the commentators to talk about it. I want the game to reward me for ending the losing streak.

A second example: the game presumably already tracks my play calls in some capacity given the community-sourced play call option exists. I want the commentary to talk about the kind of defense I typically run; do I blitz a lot on second and short? Did I break tendency with a zero blitz on 3rd and medium? What sort of route combinations do I favor and how successful am I using them? In franchise, maybe the game could also reward drive goal XP for successfully executing my favorite plays in pivotal moments. This could even further extend to a teaching tool, what with a better-executed version of the old Cris Collinsworth telestrator feature which was in Madden 09 as part of the panned "Rewind" feature.

Add The Show's presentation options. I don't remember exactly what they're called but you either get all the cut scenes, fewer cut scenes, or none. I'm incredibly impatient and hate having to hold X to skip them
