Its just not hard to move the ball in this game because zone coverages are so weak and man cover is completely broken.

You’re playing with EA default rosters were the high player ratings throw the game off balance.

Sim 10-12 yrs and cycle all default players out of your league and just use the generated players and I really believe the ease at which you’re able to play will be reduced.

That might be true, but i certainly dont have high player ratings. We had a rule where i couldnt have anyone on my roster above a 70 the last year of all pro. Now that we bumped it to all madden that was relaxed and i had a fantastic draft, but i still only have a handful of players above 80. The pc definitely has the ratings advantage.

Part of the appeal is builsing a team and simming likr thay really ruins that. I wish you could atart a fantasy draft from a future point in time.

OVR is only for contracts and depth chart positioning.

I’m referring to the high Positional ratings across the board.

EA rosters are in-line with MUT levels which uses “Thresholds” at the high end (usually 85+), where as, CFM is built to use the “Delta” between interacting ratings.

Look at all the starting players POS ratings and you’ll see how everyone is on the high end.

        Just a thought anyways.

However, for me,some of the comments that are in this thread are the reasons why I chose not to get 18 and are one's I noticed that were already said about 17. Better zone coverage, having to rely on more of a mixture of run/pass balance etc were things I've experienced in Madden 17. Not enough change/improvements to sway me to get 18. Madden 16 was my favorite one from the past few years. I was having to play a more balanced offense as well as mixing up my zone/man coverage in that one as well. I was having to utilize my short passing routes and checking down, even to my FB at times!
Very few people will claim that Madden 16 is more realistic than Madden 18, especially now with the qb ai being patched. And nearly all the people making that claim are blinded by hatred of EA Sports. I promise you almost every sim head admits Madden 18 is the most realistic Madden in years.

It’s just that it’s flaws are really glaring (such as the wind effect on punts).
