CPU Punt Issues post 1.9
I gave in and downloaded 1.9 this morning. My first game was my divisional round playoff game outdoors in New England. Wind was around 10mph and with each CPU punt, it went sky hit and dropped, resulting in like a 10 yd punt. I have heard of this issue before but never experienced it at all in M18 until after this update.

The only thing you can do to get around the issue is play in domed staduims and Play the Moment.
This wasn't called by the latest title update. -
Re: CPU Punt Issues post 1.9
When the CPU is kicking into the wind they tend to use sky punts and it leads to really short punts. I've actually fumbled those away sometimes because pressing the button to switch players doesn't let you get to the returner in time usually. And the returner often has the ball clank off their helmet. I have a habit now of switching to the returner before the punt goes off to prevent this.
Anyway the CPU has been doing that for the entirety of M18.
I think it depends on where the CPU is on the field though. If they are deep in their own territory they won't use a sky punt and just boot it into the wind as deep as they can.Comment

Re: CPU Punt Issues post 1.9
It goes Sky High and they barely get it to the 50.
I really think it's a combo of wind(ex. 10mph or more)
And
CPU Sky Punt Logic, they think they are at the 50 or closer and they pick sky punt. Also they could be confused on which way the wind is blowing.
CPU Punt logic is horrendous at times.
Ruins a usually good game!
Think if the CPU could play the field position chess match, like an elite user.
So much potential in the CPU, just not quite there.

EA, we know, you know the issues that have plagued Madden and the CPU.
Why is it, I get a better CPU QB ai on last gen?
Why do more and more things get taken away from the CPU and the User ?
What happened to CPU DPP(dynamic player performance)?
What happened to traits for Tuck & Run?
Going further back, what happened to Block Shed slider?
Hopefully we'll start seeing more CPU vs User love!!Comment

It's been an issue for at least 2 years now. WHY it isn't addressed or even acknowledged, I have no idea!
