Did I just overlook it, or did they really not address the center glitch on run plays? It has killed my ability to even try and get the ground game going.

Just like the update says, they are looking at averages as in yds per carry at the end of the game! The league aver is around 4.1. Preseason average has been about 3.3yds per carry. Running for 6 or 7 yds is realistic and neither is 150yds a game! Only one person in NFL history has a career average over 100 yds per game and that’s Jim Brown. Everyone else is below! So that’s what they are trying to get to!

That may be the case. I've had certain teams do an adequate job rushing the ball. However players and teams that should be able to get yards cannot. Zeke, even with the best o-line, can't get any yards. Bouncing everything and juking in the backfield. Same with Shady McCoy. Surprisingly, Mack from the Colts has run against me pretty well.

Was hoping this title update addressed this. Now I guess I have to mess with sliders to get it better. Always leery of messing with sliders because they always seem to have unintended consequences that mess up the game in other areas.

Call me surprised that the visual feedback bug has gone unaddressed. Perhaps it’s not as big a deal to others; hoped it would be easy fix. And the dev team doesn’t seem to comment much about it on Twitter [emoji36].

Agree with you I am surprised as well..But the more I look at those commercials the more I am thinking that it's a design decision as those commercials have the same darkness and lighting.. the issue is puzzling as I just don't get how someone could just sit there and decide that dark shading is where we want to go this year especially when 18 had great lighting..

I see nothing was specifically called out in the notes about CPU RB AI (which doesn't mean anything....there are always miscellaneous tweaks that don't make the patch notes). If it is NOT fixed in this patch, I will try to capture some video to show how the CPU runners are trying too hard to follow their blockers instead of running to daylight and Tweet that to Clint. I encourage everyone else who has the ability to upload video clips and tweet them to do so. And to be clear, if you play the game on a PS4, XBox, or PC you have the ability to post video clips.



When you post clips, take it from replay, show the whole play zoomed out first and then zoom in on the RB from just behind him, show the head turning to follow the "next block" (which might be on the opposite side of the field). My hunch is that it is a vision issue of some sort.



Once we get a response from Clint that they are working on it....we can desist. It's the only way we can be sure it happens.

I did state if it is addressed, I don't know if will be addressed or not. I'm speculating that a tuning of traits might address the issue. I know I am seeing it less with sliders I'm currently using, but it still needs to be addressed.

What does seeing it less mean? In franchise what is the average yards per game your giving up. As I mentioned elsewhere, I'm doing a browns franchise, I have run blocking at 100, tackling at 35 and some other changes and my opponents are averaging 13 yards per game on the ground, that is through 10 games. It's to the point I only control the DE when playing defense so I don't blow up plays in the backfield and still nothing.

For me as a player who primarily plays single player this is making me not want to play. In H2H games it is fine but the game is one dimensional from an AI offensive standpoint.

What bug is that?

As Hunker said, it’s the pass/pass rush feedback that’s driving me up a wall. Maybe it is a design decision, but a flawed one IMO it so.

I’m play Pittsburgh and Dallas and Bell is killing me at 100 runnblocking. He’s not juking or anything. He is hitting the hole and then making moves. Just an early observation!

I'm about to fire up my 6th game in a new franchise I started up, the CPU is avg just under 4.0 yds per game, at 3.9yards per carry vs me. I don't have the best run D, either, so, that could be it, too.

It's like the lighting issue, some people have it, some people don't, but it needs to be addressed.

I'm using JoshC's sliders. I agree with Josh, we need to fire up video evidence for Clint and to acknowledge they are on it.

I'd like to also say I'm at work and haven't played the patch so it is possible other changes could fix the AI running problem. I just find it odd they don't address it as its by far the biggest issue from a game play standpoint.

Otherwise the patch has great changes, the injury banner is a blessing.

Perhaps a darker look is what the art team was going for? I play on a old PS4 w/ a gaming monitor and while the game is darker, I don't have any pitch black or unplayable stadium issues...

If that was the direction they went with this year, I don't know why everyone assumes they would patch it. They may not even be able to...

People here appear to be so oblivious at times. Anything that seems off they call it a bug.

Most times its EA's intention. Something like lighting, isn't a bug. Its a graphical and art direction. The reason it looks different depending where you play is because the light is handled differently in different stadiums. The only real graphical bug is the flickering in Lambeau field.

Based on feedback gathered from the community about the Player Lock camera:
Dev Note: In an effort to create more opportunities to make plays on the ball in Player Lock and Franchise Player, we've replaced the Player Lock cameras with our MUT Squads position-specific cameras. These cameras balance your player and the ball in frame as much as possible. This will enable you to make better reads on the play as it develops, as well as move on the ball in passing situations. In addition, we've implemented a punt and kick return view for Franchise Player when you are put in that position for your team, playing as a Running Back, Wide Receiver, or Defensive Secondary role.

So ... is the camera behind the defensive back in CFM now or is this just some convoluted excuse as to why it's still broken? Wish I was home to check but anxious to find out as playing defensive back without the player lock camera is not fun at all.
