Re: Is overtime handled incorrectly?
Preseason and Regular Season-IF the team receiving the kickoff in Overtime drains the entire clock and kicks the go ahead fg as time expires the game is over. Rule 16 Article 4(a): "There shall be a maximum of one 10-minute period, even if the second team has not had an opportunity to possess the ball
or if its initial possession has not ended"Comment

This looked edited. At 20-22 seconds a frame cuts out .Comment

Re: Is overtime handled incorrectly?
Yes you're wrong. Both teams must possess the ball regardless of time on the clock unless the first team to get the ball scores a touchdown. So the overtime clock will reset if the second team hasn't finished it's possession.Comment

Re: Is overtime handled incorrectly?
Probably not edited, just a jump in the capture. Edited or not though, this was actually posted often in the bugs/glitches thread. The game would have a glitch where overtime would never actually start. I'd been afraid to have a game go to overtime because of it lolComment

There shall be a maximum of one 10-minute period, even if the second team has not had an opportunity to possess the ball or if its initial possession has not ended. If the score is tied at the end of the period, the game shall result in a tie.

Re: Is overtime handled incorrectly?
Clearly you haven’t read the other posts and have not done your own research.
When the NFL changed its overtime rule in 2012, it was supposed to guarantee both teams the ball, unless the team that received the overtime kickoff scored a touchdown on its first possession.
