I'm not a big fan of the Bazooka X-Factor, but this is the first X-Factor I've drafted and to get him 1st overall is pretty sweet. Honestly this is the first genuine franchise QB I've drafted in Madden for a long long time, I think since probably Madden 15 or so.

He went +3 OVR in the first progression point using tdawg's PC system. This system does heavily weight potential to dev trait so I'm hoping this QB is the real deal and develops to 95+ OVR.

Funny thing is, even though he obviously didn't reveal the X-Factor until 500 snaps (actually he revealed as a Superstar first in week 7 and didn't unlock X-Factor until the progression to 80 OVR in week 8), he played like a special player from game 1 in some ways. Strangely the first thing I noticed about him different than my previous season's QB was he was able to throw away balls with more success (as opposed to being sacked and not getting rid of the ball despite what seemed like a full windup).

What's up with the number of superstar traits a player has? Some guys have 2, some have 5 like this guy. What determines that? Is that position-based or just totally random? Do all Qb's have a potential of getting 5? And do any other positions have potential to have more than 2?

You unlock additional slots as you reach higher OVR thresholds. AFAIK QBs are the only players in regular play who can get more than two abilities.

That Brick Wall ability sucks. Might as well call it the "Loses Extra Yards on Sacks" ability. You don't get control of your QB back fast enough to do anything other than watch the next guy come in and clean up.

For other positions, the max is 2. For QBs, I do think they have the abilty to get up to 5 if they met OVR requirements
I do wish they opened up the options for each superstar trait slot. I get how they want to tie each slot for a specific archetype. But it would have been nice to experiment. Where I wish all the abilities you unlocks were available to be chosen with your 2 or 5 slots. You can't mix and match certain abilites because they might be in the same slot. Like for a FS, you can't pair Universal Coverage and Enforcer/or Pick Artist.

Thanks guys. I had Lamar Jackson to a 99 X Factor in a previous franchise and he stuck with 2 SS traits (though they are incredible ones) the whole time. Maybe it has something to do with real life guys not getting more SS traits?


Totally agree about being able to mix and match. Would be nice to just have full control like we do in QB1.

Is that based on what they start as? So since Lamar starts as a SS he won't get those extra 3 when he goes to X Factor?

Not many special prospects in my latest class but I did land this guy at 7th overall:




He has a hidden dev trait. I'm moving to a 4-3 and pairing him with 86 OVR Dexter Lawrence.

Was that a Madden generated class? Do you remember the scouted grades? I joined an online league and have a top 5 pick and the only draft story I can see is a WR winning the Heisman.

yup generated class, I can’t remember the grades specifically but they were all all A- at minimum. A A- A- maybe. also had a 7.2 combine grade, ran a low 4.4

I didn't really need a LT badly, but I have wanted a pass blocking heavy LT and this guy should hopefully develop into a long term fixture.

Anyone ever get a 99 speed qb? This is the highest i've seen one. He also had xfactor development.
