Would be surprised if they add anything major since the game comes out in under 2 months. If we're lucky they might build on a few things they already have in the game:

      - More scenarios for the scenario engine
      - Face editor from FOTF in custom draft classes and more faces to pick from for create a player
      - Better stat tracking - improved simulation stats, teams played for, and better historic stat tracking

Believe it's too late to add something brand new like coaching carousel or a brand new morale system...

        Couple things to note here:

        1. GREAT JOB EVERYONE! Love how this community gets together to address the thing we want most out of Madden. FRANCHISE!

        2. It might not be under everyone's radar, but let me point out something i've said numerous times not only on here, but elsewhere. Individual stats for career and game logs within Franchise needs to be fixed. If this isn't fixed, Franchise is pretty much broken. At this day in age, how could they not even patch this in? I've heard the excuses. They don't have enough "resources" or it'll break something else. Well? Is that it?

As far as i'm concerned, this is inexcusable. We're in 2020 heading into 2021. I haven't heard of any sports games where this was completely broken and if they don't fix this at the least, it's a tell tale sign that Franchise will be nothing but a dumpster fire.

You guys are not falling for this are you? It's July 3rd and EA doesn't want their twitter feeds they release in the next 50 days to be covered and retweeted with #fixmaddenfranchise and complaits. They trying to fool you and silence you till they sell millions of copies then as usual laugh & do nothing to franchise mode. You all best be on that tweeter feed or you gonna get same results as the last 7 years.

My expectations are near nothing. No details were laid out in the video regarding what they would add or when. Seems very vague like upgrading franchise is something they will consider down the road. We've heard this talk before. People should continue to post #fixmaddenfranchise until we get concrete plans for franchise. Kicking this down another year is what they've been doing for the last decade.

Anyone who actually believes what they are saying at this point, deserves what they get if they buy the game.

They "hear our feedback"? This is suddenly knew to the folks working on Madden? We've been giving this feedback for over a decade and been given nothing but lip service. I won't believe a word they say until I see it running in game.

People should at least wait to see the demo in early/mid-August. There you will see first hand what if anything they added for franchise...

I get the feeling franchise will get the resources it deserves for the next 12-18 months and then they will go back to their old ways again and if anyone says anything they will fall back on that

Didn't they do something similar with Madden 18 and then have to patch almost on day 1 to resolve a lot of the issues with franchise mode?

At least give us back the ability to see the weekly NFL schedule & simulate each game showing us the scores.

I remember on the old PS2 maddens I could simulate a season in like a minute while seeing every game for every team on the schedule while I did it.

Then the 360 games took a lot longer to simulate with all the loading & what not, & this gen of consoles is unbearable to sim through. You can't see anything!

Still a "wait and see" as this news just feels like damage control. Will be solid to see a proper road map they commit to over several years.

It's definitely damage control, amigo, and it's cleverly worded to make people think they've truly recommitted to Franchise mode without them explicitly saying they have. All he said was they are working on plans to "bolster" Franchise mode. What does that mean? "Bolster: support or strengthen; prop up." But how MUCH is not inherent in the meaning of that word.

That could mean they plan to truly overhaul Franchise mode and give us something like what Deuce Douglas has been pushing for for years. It could also mean something like the Scenario Engine. Based on the fifteen year track record of commitment to Franchise mode, my guess is that "bolster" means the latter.

Of course, we'll see. Perhaps consumer outrage drives meaningful change. But I wouldn't be counting my chickens, personally.

Fixing franchise also means fixing and improving their terrible slider system, improving cpu AI and adding customized camera angles in addition to more robust team building options.

EA hasn’t given a crap about franchise in over 5 years. I won’t hold my breath. I can hope for improvements next year but I already quit this franchise two years ago. Many offline only guys like me have given up. Madden 21 is a lost cause at this point. Will see if Madden 22 offers anything.

If we're talking "years" then not much will change in the grand scheme of things. They would either add a feature or two every year, some of them the old ones that were ripped out of the mode in the past, or add some minor "upgrades" that are easy to implement but are actually nowhere close to what the community really wants. They would NEVER trully commit to the mode.

No, there has to be a commitment to building a robust mode in a year or two at most that at least resembles what we see on Sundays and what every team in the league, and perhaps the league itself, has to deal with year after year after year, 24/7.

For a company like EA, that should be a piece of cake by now. Now if only they cared enough.
