The Immersion Breakers thread
Major immersion killer for me. On the Bears website, they posted behind the scenes photos of the field art being painted and like every year since 25. Madden has used the same templet for Solider Field. Which isn’t correct. What kills me more is that they added that stupid “Positive Play” art to each field (which no team has in real life) so I know that they at least worked on every teams field! Do the DEV’s not understand/care that some teams have themes, and those themes change every other year or every year! Why as a DEV would you not look at a real life reference, and check if things are correct. It just seems like the DEV’s are simply lazy at their jobs and cut corners. Two things I beat with a stick that has never been fixed. Fix soldier field, and give us an air raid siren. They have had them since ‘18!

Re: The Immersion Breakers thread
Seeing the game in motion. I have no idea how hard it is to make a guy running with a football look like it does in real life, but this game fails at it miserably. In still photos, the game looks amazing. The second you see it in motion, you know it's a video game.Comment

Madden 18 is still the best looking - and best presentation wise - of any Madden this generation.Comment

Re: The Immersion Breakers thread
After a few more months of playing this game (and enjoying it) here's a few more that I notice that really bug me...
Qbs that start their cadence before being set. They'll still be walking to the line and already start their cadence. Just have it start when he gets into position.
The lack of hair coming out from under helmets. Players either have long hair coming out from under their helmets or no hair. There needs to be a middle length hair option.
Stadium exteriors. Some teams have really nice shots and some don't. Some have custom camera angles of the stadium interior and exterior. Some don't
Hearing AJ Dillon referred to my as my 2nd round rookie draft pick out of Boston College 3 years into a franchise.

Re: The Immersion Breakers thread
About 25% of the time Mike Evans makes a catch they make a comment about him being a "running back".
Vaughn is referred to my rookie RB in years 2, 3 and 4.
If a play is reviewed while time is expiring the game will simply be over.
The CPU is really stupid in general but in overtime they will not even use timeouts when the clock is running down. Since the CPU won't go out of bounds, ever, in OT you have to manage their time.
The CPU rarely calls timeouts after the play. I'd say 90% of the time they call the timeout moments after the plays are selected. This means if you use accelerated clock, they just lost those seconds.
Half the time the player introduction screen doesn't fit. The player is dancing around while his stays are displayed behind him but I can only see the very bottom because it is like 1000% bigger than normal. No idea if this is how it should be but it looks insane.
When the QB walks out its always the same. No mentions of years prior, accolades, etc. In fact nothing about any player is ever mentioned. Sometimes they talk about the QBs last performance which is nice though.
Lack of weather. In four seasons I've only seen rain once and never snow. Along these lines the jerseys never get dirty either. I don't play 15mins and armor says they get more noticeably impacted if you do. However, if I have to close a game and restart later, the jerseys and field show a lot more wear than what happened during the game.Comment

Re: The Immersion Breakers thread
Small detail that I find very annoying is how most of the throwback jerseys have small numbers on back of jersey. They are much smaller than they should be. Ruins playing with retro rosters.
Also, please bring back commentator saying edited players’ last names.

After scoring TDs cpu players just walk into the walls in the end zone and don’t reactComment

The Cadence one really bugs me! I’ll go a step further on that. The fact that they only give us two voices for drafted QB’s is lazy, and proves the devs really don’t watch this sport. I can’t for the life of me understand why the devs thought this was good enough. Why is my drafted QB is still going through his cadence after the snap! It’s horribly done

Re: The Immersion Breakers thread
-Terrible looking referee. Same exact referee every single game. They don't have a mix of different ones like the other sports games.
-Same terrible intro for pre-season, regular season and playoffs
-Crowd size and atmosphere is the exact same in the pre-season as the regular season
-Cutscenes of the crowd is a stadium full of nothing but 20 year olds
-Next Gen stats replay. This is a presentation that would take some time to put together. Something you would see the next day on ESPN but it happens seconds after a play.
-Going 14-2 with the Jaguars because the single player difficulty in this game is a joke.Comment

Re: The Immersion Breakers thread
I'll start by saying I enjoy the game so I'm not bashing it, but there are a few things that could be tweaked that would help immersion:
1 - Defensive players high-fiving each other when the stop the QB for a one yard loss....while the offense is in Victory formation.
2 - This has been there for a long time, but '4:25' games on the West Coast don't start at 4:25, it's 1:25 local time. I played in San Francisco last night (I'm playing all games as the home team), week 1 and it was dark before the game was over. That would be about 4:30 PT, in September, it still should be plenty bright as there is about 4 hours of daylight left - heck East Coast September 4:25 starts would still end in daylight.
The next game was the Rams Sunday night game against Dallas - it's 5:20 PT, it shouldn't be dark when it starts.
I don't expect this to be perfect, but it could be better."It's a dog-eat-dog world and I'm wearing Milk-Bone underwear."
