I assume when you say disconnect from the internet before you start the game, you mean before you start the video game itself, not the football game.

Its so sad that we have to do this.. i know they aren't able to track our gaming metrics if we aren't connected to internet. Literally bizarre how EA can just keep making matters worse

I've seen this on PS4 (it's a 100% of the time thing on there I think, which is big yikes), but is it happening on other platforms too?

PS4 for me as well. Others have said they can do online cfm. I tried it and it failed too.

Shame is, the game plays way better, more realistic with slow sim default all pro while being connected online while the game plays.

Right nw I’m just having fun in Play Now with the same setup. I cranked all injuries to 99 except for roughing passer. Left it at 50. Seeing a nice amount of penalties. Nice stats as well.

Yea it had crashed for me and wouldnt even let me try to return to the game like it will sometime, and the date on the saved file said 1/1/1

so between that... and the formation sub issue madden has a few thigns to work on.. idk if this issue is a madden thing or not but wow

Sounds like the new patch is coming tomorrow, and hopefully a fix for this is included. Workaround is great for offline, but online CPU v CPU is unusable. I was hoping the rumor that CPU v CPU (for any game in Franchise) was coming back, and instead there's a massive bug that just kills it entirely.

It crashed on me too. Trying it in Online CFM now. Guess I’ll transfer my all time roster from 19 over to ps4. Play now is the only place i can enjoy the game. They may not fix this.

I put out a tweet. Like it or comment on it so we can get this fixed. If it looks like im the only person with this problem on twitter, they won’t fix it.

I tweeted them about it last week, and there's also an extensive Reddit thread, and a thread on EA's own boards, where it appears the bug has been passed up the chain for review by one of the moderators. Maybe just not in time for this patch, but they should definitely know about it.

They don't do anything right man. This is one of the only ways to get a balance game with heavy editing and tinkering. But default plays decent in most match-ups.

New patch(es?) today on PS4, same bluescreen crash. I didn't really expect a fix this quick anyway, but they should be aware of it by now.

Note: The update never said it was fixing this crash, I was testing it just in case it was an unmentioned fix. It wasn't.

Traded a message with the @EAHelp account this morning, and it sounds like they have NO idea why this is happening, but it's being looked into according to them. Until then, they recommended avoiding Slow Sim entirely. Will keep you posted if I hear anything else.
