Anybody acting surprised because the scouting update wasn't included didn't understand that they are "targeting September" for the release. That didn't mean September 2nd.

First game post patch on PS5 and I almost had too many penalties. Swwwweeeettttt.

Did you play with default penalty sliders?

EA forums are worse than here. Why do devs still interact there then?

Is this really a question? Those are official EA forums it's part of their job. They used to come here on their own time. People here ruined it

Except that every qb in the league you haven’t played against can’t seem to throw a pass longer than 25 yards.

Guess I'd miss that because I play every game, every week.

So we have basically got a new game and we can’t really start a franchise because of the scouting missing feature that should be in by default.

Just hope it’s worth it.

What? The scouting system that has been in the game for several years is in there. The new overhauled scouting is targeted for later this month.

Do you even have the game?

Some things I have noticed since yesterday's patch:


1.) I'm getting more penalties, and a variety of different types of penalties.
2.) Offline Franchise mode, I get the infinite Madden Logo loop screen after finishing a game and trying to get back to Franchise menu. Can't get past it, keep losing progress every time. This wasn't an issue before yesterday's patch. I started a new Franchise too yesterday, and still happening.
3.) Subs seem weird... I was getting starters showing up in 4th quarter of my pre-season game. Never happened before.


Regardless, not being able to advance passed a game in Franchise is absolutely, 100% game breaking. I can't play anymore


I guess I'll try a Cloud Franchise tonight.

Not taking it out on you man….sorry.

It is just we all knew it was not coming till mid or late September at the earliest. And we have so many who find the need to sit and moan and groan.

Game is playable. And you could start a “test” franchise and have some fun playing as different teams you would never normally play as, test out things, try new playbooks, get used to the new momentum meter. Al lot things to enjoy while we wait.

I always looked at this forum as a place to gather and help each other enjoy sports games.

It still has those qualities but has also spiraled into a massive customer complaint department.

I agree we all should point out shortcomings, talk about how developers can improve their games etc.

But the manner of how some posters go about it has become exhausting.

That’s all.

So sorry for having a moment and it seemed like it was at your expense…know that it was not.

Love this. Perfectly put. I come here now for your sliders and any updates I can't find elsewhere. There's so much negativity it's like scrolling through a drama filled Facebook news feed now.

Just want to point out that we don't have to restart a franchise when the patch comes out. I started my keeper franchise last night. I want the scouting improvements as much as the next person but I also want to enjoy the game. Yes, the scouting system now is stale and they are giving us a new one, but it doesn't create an unplayable game. I waited for the score bug to be fixed and I decided to start and am enjoying myself and not looking back.

No one is forcing us to wait for the scouting patch. Heck, even if it comes in October, it is still better than Madden 23 in my opinion.

If I want to give the new scouting a try, I will start another franchise.
