It’s because it an all Xbox issue and so many ppl don’t have the issue they can ignore it and Blame it on other factors

People are having the issues on the ps5 as well and even the ps4.

As of last week




EA just says they're aware with no notes about whether they're working on it or providing an ETA when we can get an actual fix. This is just unacceptable. I'm still experiencing the same issue as I had before. It's like they take 1 step forward and took 5 steps back. This is crazy how a multi billion dollar company can QA this way.

I've just received my RMA console I sent in to Xbox and it's still occurring. This narrows it all down to Madden because I've already tried other games and does not make my console crash.

I've tried starting the game from Xbox 1 and xsx, it will not launch to the main menu. It always gets stuck on buckling chinstrap/breaking huddle/showtime. Both consoles doing the exact same thing.

I even tried the X/S version on my XSX and it also does the exact same thing. Sometimes, after 50+ tries, the game will actually load, only to crash later for whatever reason.

I don't even know if EA is aware of this problem specifically.

Is it possible to get my money back for the digital version?

You can try by going into the Microsoft site then choosing the game you want to return. But evidently they are aware of the issue, problem is they're not advertising if they're fixing it or when it'll be fixed.

I may have figured it out as far as Xbox One Series X goes. I've had my console plugged directly into a power strip. Now I've plugged into the wall and haven't had any issues, but still too early to say. I'll keep you guys posted.

Update: Nope. Didn't work.

Idk which it was because i did them both the same day but i installed a wired modem in my basement so now that Iv been wired to the internet and not on WIFI it’s crashed less


The same day i made sure i was in the Omega version of the Xbox Insider app.

Since Iv done those things Iv crashed once and it wasn’t even during gameplay. It was during the menus transition from MUT to the main menu

My nba 2k hasn’t crashed even mince

I went from crashing multiple times a Madden game (12 min quarters) to not crashing at all

It's very random, but I feel it is the game. You're probably just getting lucky at the moment. I've tried everything even to the point of returning my console to Xbox and receiving a "new" one. I don't think it's required to install Xbox insider app just to make this game work.

I'd hate to say it but this game is broken, iff this many people are experiencing this issue. I'm a little curious as to why some people say it doesn't happen to them tho? Or are they just not saying anything or caring about it?

I've been hardwired the whole time, still can't get to the main menu. Tried about 70 times today with no luck.

So I downloaded the insider app and began reporting problems like there was no tomorrow.

Played a full game right now for a whole hour. It was a great game, back and forth won it down to the wire. Right when it goes to the rewards part at the end, game crashed to main menu. I start up Franchise again. Score 0-0. It didn't save.

I'm starting to hate this damn game.

So I just played through about 8 games (not in a row) in a span of like 3 or 4 days. So far, no crashing, no freezing. All this after installing the Xbox Insider App. Either they secretly pushed out a patch or the Xbox Insider App stopped it. It's so weird. I can't wrap my head around it.

This happened to me this morning. At the rewards screen, it asked me to sign into my profile...doing so kicked me back to the main menu and all progress was lost. I never signed out of my profile to begin with, so that was fun.

Yeah, there's all sorts of various crashes that occur randomly whether you're playing offline/online franchise, have custom unis, rosters, sliders. What ever it is, it causes this weird crashing. EA needs to fix this stat. It's almost to the point where I'll never buy another Madden unless they get their QA right before they go live. It's ridiculous at this point. We're going into Week 9 in the NFL Season!

99.9% of the time the game crashes when exiting franchise on PS5.. I give up with it that I just reload the game now if I want to exist franchise mode.
