I played a "Play Now" game last night on Pro with Playmakers sliders (user INT 0 and CPU 25) as Washington vs Seattle and the first half was great. A few dropped ball, tips, etc and one INT each. Mine was definitely on me and the CPU's was because the QB was hit as he threw.
Weirdly, in the second half the CPU threw FOUR INT IN A ROW!! Only one was remotely contested and the first two were pick sixes!! I threw another in the second half where super LB made a return, covering a ridiculous distance and making a Jordanesque leap. Really wish I'd kept the replays.

I have to say though, that this has been a freak game for me and generally not having a huge issue. Maybe something to do with PM sliders?

Going to post a thread on this shortly but in Play Now some of your menu settings around Ball Hawk etc don't save going into games properly (they save ok in Franchise).

On LG Madden last year, I set the game down in January out

of frustration and didn't pick up again till a few months ago.

The passing game was nerfed big time from Jan till

a few months ago. I was throwing Int's up

to 4 per half and rage quitting.

Same thing was happening with the trial and the early beginnings of

the new game on NG for me.

I picked up on some new adjustments and played a FM game, Packers

vs Bears. Fields had 2 ints, Rodgers had 1. Finally, a game with less int's

than quarters.

I believe what BleedingRed was referring to was how easy it was to throw

some patterns in Madden before this one, ie slants over the middle or out routs.

Last night's Packers vs Bears, most of the game, felt like NFL football except for

lack of penalties.

As a footnote, there are issues with the Int slider not working out of the gate, but

I have discovered a way to reduce the #s I have been seeing since the last Madden.

There are a plethora of posters that I trust that have the game and are experiencing

this issue.

By the way, my only INT with Rodgers was a pass I tried to touch pass over the MLB,

but the MLB snatched it out with outstretched hands without jumping up. A lurking LB

who didn't catapult for a INT.

I tried the sliders called REALISM on XSX last night and had two very enjoyable games. The sliders are the most popular sliders on EA's share locker so I figured they might be pretty good.

Although I still threw some interceptions I also saw quite a few drops and the sliders really worked well, despite the fact that when you look at the sliders they look sort of insane.

So yeah, I do agree with you all now that this is an issue, I still do believe that part of it is on the user (I know I throw some dumb INTs) but yes, EA needs to address this.

Let's all just hope that EA doesn't overcorrect though, this is, and always has been, my issue with bringing up things that are sort of broken. Be very careful about doing so because they sometimes really overcompensate.

But yeah, corners are usually corners because they can't catch so the way the game is on default is a bit silly for all the INTs. We just need them to convert it to play the defender more than play the ball I think would fix this issue.

ALSO PVARK31 - I apologize if I came across to you like I didn't believe you or others about this issue. I think sometimes I am speaking from a general viewpoint rather than to a specific issue. That is exactly what I was doing here and I don't think I did a very good job of making that clear.

ALSO PVARK31 - I apologize if I came across to you like I didn't believe you or others about this issue. I think sometimes I am speaking from a general viewpoint rather than to a specific issue. That is exactly what I was doing here and I don't think I did a very good job of making that clear.

Hey, do you guys use passing slowdown on anything other than "off"? I landed on some random youtube video last night around 11:15p and the guy was touting using "max". I got up and played a couple games in a throw away FotF with it set to "moderate". Now, I tossed probably 10 picks in those 2 games but also like 7 TDs. Probably hit Corey Davis for 25-30 receptions and 5 TDs. In the last game before bed I hit him 17 times for 318 YDS and 3 TD. This was on All Pro.

I don't play online so I don't care about turning it off to help me prep for that. If having the slowdown helps me enjoy the game I think I might do that. Still gotta throw less picks though.

I'm not the best at games anymore (I'm 52) so messing with user catching can, and still does, often blow up in my face, but sometimes taking control of the DB is worthwhile and since I've started doing it then more often than not it works out better than not doing so..

Sorry, "max" is for the amount of slowdown. As far as reticle I use near and sometimes far.

Regarding user catching: because I'm pretty much exclusively doing FotF or a player franchise, that's not an option for me.

The 4 in a row thing will happen sometimes. The reason being is the momentum meter is on steroids. I actually like the mechanic but it's overdone and 100% contributing to the interception problems. If you get full momentum in the second half it's over. Turnover/sack city. Lol

If the cpu gets full momentum I slow the game down. Run. Dink and dunk on easy completions or screens, and I can get myself out of it. The cpu doesn't seem to have that ability and seems to panic and that's when ints really get out of hand.

Totally cool man. Madden makes people emotionally charged sometimes, and I was guilty of that at the time. So I apologize too.

Admittedly, I dropped all the way down to ROOKIE and have specific settings and sliders going on. My post with everything is on page 31 of this thread. It feels so weird being that far down after two decades or so, but it's where I can only tolerate it right now and test further.

Maybe it’s a all madden difficulty issue for the ints. I been a all madden difficulty guy for years because every time I dropped to all pro I would always win again the cpu. But I guess if these issues keep persisting then I will look into all pro with adjusted sliders

I'm throwing picks on All Pro lol I'm sure they're all my fault as I can see horrible decisions flash back through my mind right now. But, the defense's hands are also too sure. lol

I was on all pro since first day of early access and ints were out of control. Switched to All Madden 3 games ago and first game I had 3 picks, 2nd game I had 4. The last game I played I only had 1 which was late into garbage time. Thats the first time since I started playing 23 that I've had less than 2 picks. The only things that was different was it was the first game with ball hawk and heat seeker turned off(I'm hoping there is something to this as I believe canes has been suggesting it. Too early for me to confirm after 1 game though) and I didn't manage to get full momentum all game for the first time.

Those are all CPU thrown picks to be clear. Although the ones I throw often feel cheesie I'm ok chalking it up to my fault. The sheer ammount of cpu ones though I need to mitigate somehow.
